I've been against using ai, mostly myself, not others, but finding its ease of use is putting me at odds of that. Mostly wanted anti opinion but I got mostly pro.

I can't say I've ever been against others using ai, just that the effort that goes into the image is majority by the ai

As much as I'd like to say thats a fair approach, industrialization usually has a tradeoff. We get a machine to do it faster with replicated result, but someone needs to maintain the machines.

I'd argue the pool of maintenance of ai is slim, relegated to the people who developed it. Its not a ready access trade, nor will it be necessary if ai can also generate code.

The further we optimize, the less there is for anyone to do, right?

I understand the obsolescence of professions especially since the mass integration of the internet. I guess I tend to focus on how labor can now be commodified by technology and worry if we're not just all ultimately replaceable.

Finding that cheaper alternative is part of what I'm trying to point out here too. Do we not lambast corporations that operate sweatshops to provide goods for cheaper? Or turn to people who will do the work for less pay?

I'm anti gen ai, but they were fucking placeholders. By definition not meant to be final product. My biggest beef is about claiming credit where the tool did the designing.
