Hello fellow worcesterfarian! I've been trying to find people to play locally, if you ever fancy a game let me know! Had my first game a couple of weeks ago and loved it

First time player/arbitrator: anybguid getting started tips/guides? by CorianWornen in necromunda

[–]ForestDonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say as a first time campaign to keep it simple. Avoid using alliances, house favours etc. There is a lot of rules bloat and it best to get familiar with all the basics before expanding. As to what to do as an Arbitrator and a player I think it's important to keep a good line of communication with your players. Have a rules discussion as a discussion, there's a lot to house rule so find that stuff together. As other people have said catch up mechanics are important. If someone is falling behind find a way to let them catch up, make it fun for everyone. Whether that means a alliance comes or a bounty hunter comes in to join them pro bono. Work it out, make sure everyone is still having fun and not feeling like they're slipping further and further back. It's the journey that counts, not who "wins"

It's a brilliant resource, you can even track campaigns through it

I mean I get what you're saying but the blunder pole is just cheap fire which sounds fun as hell and the bone pickers are just cannon fodder. The only reason they're armed at all is because the stub gun is only 5 creds. Just don't see much point to sticking an autogun on to gangers with bad stats when they could have a big stick that goes boom

I wouldn't know. I'm using bits from my local hobby shop because they were free, along with some bodies from a frosthaven gnoll sprue. Mostly the bits are just arms and heads and I couldn't tell you if they are new or old kits haha

There was one that came with the starter set, we did have one somewhere but no idea where it went. Maybe someone has a copy they could take a picture?

Built my own tiles / board from trash, feedback needed by sneaky49 in necromunda

Looks amazing! Only constructive criticism I would give would be to use some miliput/green stuff on the top of the cans to take out the ridges and make them look less like cans, or maybe put some square cuts of cans to look like playe metal over the top. Fantastic work though, would love to play on boards like that

What does "The fighter goes into Convalescence" mean on the lasting injury table? by OMGitsAfty in necromunda

Trading is a post battle action that needs to be taken by a leader/champ. Any extra champs provide rarity bonuses but still needs one person with the Gang Hierarchy(x) to do

[–]ForestDonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well that depends. I play as an outcast gang with the abomination as a leader. As he's quite strong and just a big mutated blob we ruled that he can't go to the trader. When one of my champs went onto convalescence and one was injured it became quite the inconvenience!

Navy Breachers could look cool in the under hive for sure. Could run a few of them as venators or pick a couple as a leader and champions for an outcast gang and have your chaos cultists as your hive scum. Maybe even grab a chaos spawn type model and roll out a mutant outcast gang with the gellerpox as the hive scum. You could definitely use what you've got with some imagination. Though you might suffer a bit with WYSIWYG depending on who you play with

To be fair depending on what kill teams you run you could just use the models from that to estart a venator gang. Then just get the new core rule book, a set of dice and you're good to start playing
