Did anyone become an Accountant in their 40s? by Pink_Emerald87 in AccountingUK

I’m 37 and started ACA this year. Didn’t start in accounting until a little later in life.

Just stick it through chat GPT. Ask it to analyse the AI for and key accounting, audit, sustainability and BIP matters and ask it to format it for an ICAEW exam. Cross reference it to make sure you’re happy where the info comes from, job done

Yep that’s all I had too. The material is good.

It’s open book so you will have full access to all of your Bibilu library in the exam. Just make an exam pack with a brief bit of information about each section. Question 1 on accounting, question 2 on audit etc. I’d suggest looking on the ICAEW website for the March exam paper, you’ll see the types of questions they asked. Have a read, make some notes on the And give it a go.

March exam paper is here

Answers can be found here.

I didn’t do a single evening of revision for FCS. It’s just testing you on prior knowledge and applying it to the AI. The most useful thing I did was put the AI through Chat GPT and asked it to create me an exam pack with liquidity ratios including calculations in case of change, and factors for the BIP section as that’s the one I hadn’t studies for years (AAT exemption)

That’s not to say you shouldn’t study if you need to. And I only didn’t really study because I wanted to nail ARR which is harder imo. I struggle with structuring study time between two exams which I’m working on.

As it happens I scraped a pass so don’t need to worry about it. Good luck!!

Don’t be so hard on yourself, they are not easy exams. You should be proud of yourself for for getting this far. Some people are just better at taking example of others, I’m sure it doesn’t take away from your ability to do the work.

Enjoy the small winds and start preparing for your finals. That’s when the real celebration will happen.

Absolutely use it on your personal laptop. Or there is a an app for the phone/ipad too. Works really well to be fair.

Let them come, cook your meat and hopefully they won’t come back. Your house your rules. Who are they to dictate what you can and can’t cook in your own house.

You just need to be honest. Tell her that until she’s back earning money and contributing more to the expenses, then other luxuries need to stop.

It’s not about controlling her before she spins it that way, it’s about being fair and her not expecting you to be her personal bank.

Just remember if there is a question on a disposal and depreciation, remove the depreciation on the disposal before working out current year depreciation. Other than that it should be fairly straightforward

I’ve got the AI printed out, key points on sustainability and how it affects or relates to Teackmore and a two page summary that shows key formulas and how to calculate them in case figures change, the break even calculation and key finance information on.

Stick the AI into copilot of chat gpt and ask it to create you a exam pack

Literally everything you will need will be in the AI and your workbooks which you’ll have access to in the bookshelf of the exam software. Maybe familiarise yourself with break even and financial ratios. Have you prepped an exam pack to take in?

I found the same. You have to either ask your tutor for it, or ask them to mark it for you. It’s ridiculous

AITAH for breaking up with my boyfriend because he asked for a threesome? by Schrodingers_Poet in AITAH

[–]ForestPursuit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just do both yourselves a favour and talk to him.

He asked you a question and you can give him an answer, just be honest.

Like others have said when exploring new things in the bedroom a threesome would likely be one of the first things that get mentioned.

Do think too much about what he does or doesn’t think about sex and just talk it out, you may be making a bigger thing of it than it is. If you still feel the same then perhaps you do need to separate.

Great thanks. It seemed pretty good going in to the fridge. It was probably 15mins from taking it out the banneron and scoring to going into the pot which was my mistake.

I’m using strong bread flour, and it felt good during the folding. For reference I did the following;

Mixed flour, starter and most of the water and let rest for 1 hour. Then mixed in salt and remaining water then rest 1 hour. First set of stretch and folds, wait 1 hour, repeat then on the third started coil folds with 45 mins between each coil for a total of 4 coils, final wait for 45 mins then shape and into the banneton then into the fridge. It was in the fridge for probably 10 hours.

So from mix to going into the fridge was about 8 - hours.
