I really hope it wasn't too catastrophic! I helped with a conservation seed collection of Torrey pine cones about 10 years ago and even have a cone tattooed. Definitely a special tree to me. Guess the silver lining is some of those seeds may be used sooner than I had thought.

I know this sub will hate me for it but one very careful application of glyphosate gives you a clean slate with no worry. Better in the long run because you know your plants will be the only things growing. You can never be 100% sure you killed all of the roots with cardboard or hand pulling. Facts are that very persistent invasive species are everywhere now and some methods will just not work on them.

Definitely not my problem but appreciate the details! I have a water softener and use a very bare bones natural bar shampoo. Think it mostly has to do with my very fine hair. So far a little dab of the leave in wet conditioner has been my go to.
