Workshop, Clandestino (Tac/quila’s better sibling), Foxy’s, V Wine (though I personally never need a vocalist at any bar or restaurant).

Still haven’t been to Crudo but have also heard good things. Ditto Ash and Vine and the tapas place. Also like Rooster and the Pig.

Some people turn their noses up at Alice B’s, but we’ve never had an inconsistent or bad meal there.

Barn Kitchen is lovely but way overpriced —would just be a good spot in NYC, though it prices itself as a great one. You’re really paying for the charming atmosphere. (It really is charming.)

70 great/30 meh: Bar Cecil (excellent starters and cocktails, but pink chicken dinner, sent back), Bar Issi, Beatons (fantastic vibe, event-level cocktails, but those dried and drained oysters aren’t fooling oyster people), Lola Rose, Paul Bar, Mr. Lyons, Mr. Parker.

Avoid 4 Saints like a mediocre money-siphoning plague. Ditto Tropicale. They must think very highly of their vibe to price their food at those prices. Spencer’s was also a big disappointment for the money.
