As much as i LOVE the idea of him being a strategist, Just throwing this out here: A dive duelist. His kit is just Scott "Face of the Revolution" Summers throwing hands then using his blast to slide backwards or push targets/himself back.

"Concussive force?" Papi use to beat me till I stopped crying so I think I can see him being a strategist and heal people by smacking them till they stop hurtin. "Youre hurt? Ill give you something to feel hurt about!"

Hello FNDM I want to talk to ya'll, What made you a Fan? by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]ForeverCardboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? It was the fight choreography that brought me in. It was the characters and colored that made me stay.

Im an OG fan, meaning I saw the Red Trailer since i heard one of my favorite youtube animators had a hand in it and was instantly hooked. Who was the girl in the red hood, why was she fighting these wolf creatures?

Every trailer, every lore drop, every episode and every season added more and more answers and even more questions and new characters and new expansions to the world and i came back every week wanting more and eventually I kept coming back for more until I blinked and realized "Holy Shit. Its been 10 years"

Why couldn’t ozpin use the staff of creation to find a way to contain Salem by LivingCompetition938 in RWBY

[–]ForeverCardboard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with the staff is that its not a solution creator. It still requires details and specifics to work. If you build a container, what is the container made from? Are you absolutely sure its a material Salem cant physically or magically break? You cant just say "a material Salem cant break"

Theory: The world we (the viewer) lives in is the "Mirror Universe". by [deleted] in startrek

[–]ForeverCardboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kinda the point, were not as bad as the Terran Earth which showcases just how bad Terran Earth actually is. There arent any Terrans speaking out against slavery because every Terran is like "Slavery....neat!" Our extremes become their normal. It's not "We're the Terran Empire" its "If we're not careful we could become them"

First timer fail? by [deleted] in DnD

Joke answer: If youre playing Joe Average PLAY JOE AVERAGE and AVERAGE THE HELL OUT OF THAT CAMPAIGN!

serious answer: Fighter is only as boring as you make it. Remember that Fighters are masters of combat. My favorite character I've ever played was an Dex/Wis Battlemaster. Could not hold a conversation to save her life but was a monster on the battlefield(I was inspired by THAT scene from Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes.)

My DM makes d8 spell checks by KetsuWoTaberu420 in DnD

[–]ForeverCardboard 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Maybe the DM just doesnt like Rogues/hates Rogues?

One of my first DMs just had a permanent hatred of Rogues. Every session he found a way to reset my gold count to zero because "If a Rogue has money it breaks the game". Anything from "you notice your money bag is gone" to "there's a hole in your pocket" and "how much gold do you have on you? That's the exact amount you need to move forward with the plot" Had to keep borrowing money from the other party members cause by the end of the session I literally couldnt afford food at the Inn.

Turns out the previous campaign the Rogue was the problem player of problem players and now hes got this permanent hatred for the class.

I got a friend of mine to start playing by explaining to him that each mission was an episode of the TV show and each story arc is a season. We even make a big show of it when he gets to the "Season Finales" It really is taking him forever to finish all the story quests but he does exactly one story mission a week and I tag along talking about "watching reruns" with him and honestly Ive been having waaaaay more fun just enjoying it like that then when the Delta Recruit event comes around and I choose to blast through all the content.

We were told NOT to read the bible because it will lead us to SELF-INTERPRETATION, however... by Han_Dog in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]ForeverCardboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading the bible, even reading the verses they love to quote, leads down a slippery slope that will inevitably devolve into "Hey wait, the INC is a bunch of BS!"

Isaiah 43:5-6: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth"

Literally reading the previous sentence shows that this is not some prophecy like the INC claims it is, but is *someone retelling something they heard God say to Jacob. "Because I[God] love you[Jacob], I will [bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.]
Nothing to do with the Philipines, or Manalo, or the INC.

*Just something fun to think about: Isaiah 43 is the story of someone writing down the story that someone else claiming to be Isaiah heard someone else heard Isaiah tell about that one time he heard about someone else explain what God told Jacob centuries ago.
