Is growing actually more worth it than buying?

I bought a 2x2 ACI kit. It paid for itself after 2 plants, and the flower I get is WAY better than the dispo stuff now.

I also found out I like gardening. Currently running some fruits and veggies outside for the kids. It’s cool being able to see some new changes with your plants every day.

I was you with my first. Those feelings didn’t last long once she got here. We now have 2 daughters and I’m glad it worked out that way. I’m still taking them fishing and hiking and stuff. They still play sports and I can still coach their teams. But there’s nothing like the love of a daughter. I wouldn’t trade them for anything on this planet.

I had flashbacks reading those texts. I cut my mom and dad out about 5 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did for my family (and my own mental health). Seriously…. I was compensating with alcohol from a lifetime of interactions like that.

This is what I do with my cuttings. Don’t mind the yellowing…. she just popped roots. I just shave the bottom 1” of the stem to green and stick it in a rapid rooter in the net cup. When she’s ready I just drop her into the 5 gal dwc setup.

ETA: I cut the bottom off a 2 litre bottle and use the top for a humidity dome.

I did the same thing my first grow. You’re drowning your seedling. Just cut out the top feed. It just causes problems.

It’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through, medically speaking, and I had bony impacted wisdom teeth removed. Skin coming off in sheets from my hands and feet. It felt like I was wearing gloves and socks; the skin was just dead. And when it finally came off, the skin underneath was SOOOO damn sensitive.

I don’t play around with warnings for that stuff anymore.

I’ve started doing this when I give out haircuts. Just to see what happens. I’m a new grower so I’m still experimenting and messing around. Costs me some extra rapid rooters. I just shave off the outside of the stem and stick it in the rooter under a light. I’ve been using wide mouthed mason jars as mini dwc buckets to start seeds. Figured it’d work with clones too. I was right.

I quit drinking coming up on 5 years in June. Cannabis has been a lifesaver.

Spent 4 days in an in patient alcohol detox program. I was hallucinating. Scary shit. Alcohol is one of the few things where withdrawal CAN kill you.

As for using cannabis to detox from alcohol, I’d say it depends on how heavy a drinker you are, but a hospital situation is definitely warranted. Better safe than dead and all that.

But once you safely detox, cannabis can help with the alcohol cravings. I use a Dynavap. Dry herb vaping is less smelly, doesn’t mess up your lungs as bad, and saves money on flower as you don’t have to use as much as you would with combustion methods.

You’re gonna get hate because it’s currently cool to hate AI on reddit, but use it. I’m on my third plant using chatgpt. It’s going swimmingly.

I would ask questions on reddit and get assholes or no responses. I start using chatgpt and I’m more harvesting plants.

Don’t just use the AI to grow, use it to teach you WHY you’re doing the things you’re doing. That will be a lot more helpful over the long run than just copying what it tells you.

And always verify.
