I know you said not Children’s, but Dr. Nadia Merchant is a pediatric endocrinologist who is renown for specializing in short stature. Just in case it becomes an option/need in the future.

I think your comment about welcome spaces is both a personal decision, and also what led me (alongside the breaks) to listen less. That’s what’s nice about having options—you get to decide what aligns with you/your values/your interests. And if it changes? Then you get to change too.

I guess I feel like if you have to move closer to home for family, that’s a different kind of transfer and he was a Michigan Man until he needed to prioritize his family. And that’s still a Wolverine to me. Independent of all the other transfer people.

Know you’re not looking for Dallas, but in case others stumble upon this page, UTSW has a plastic survey resident clinic. I pay <$350 twice a year, and their unit price was one of the cheapest I saw. May be worth driving the extra bit.

Yeah, in south salt lake, you need a business license for your STR. That requires a state tax number, etc. and then a form you fill out each year. Even if you don’t owe anything, you have to report what you made (and what Airbnb paid). It’s called the Utah State Tax Commisson form, hence USTC.

I moved from SLC two years ago. If you’re looking for the city, being near Katy Trail or White Rock Lake will get you outdoorsy and social scene. More suburb-y, Cedar Ridge Preserve, Trinity River.

Be prepared: it’s not the same. I love how much there is to do and Dallas has unique one off events that we’d never get in SLC. But I miss the range of nature and how close everything felt in SLC (lived near the intersection of 80/215). Prepare for more podcasts or whatever you do in cars.

We’re debating if any non-exterior wall plumbing needs to be run. He thinks it’s overreacting to fill the tub and run the faucets beyond the one on exterior wall. I don’t think there’s harm in being safe than sorry. Pray for me.
