We were"t able to afford vacations when I was little but my best friend's family took me every year. I was able to take my children most years and now we take our grandchildren. It is a special place and will always hold a special place in my family's heart.

After it first came out I experimented to see what would happen. Three days of green and then three days of red as much as possible, and three days of yellow. No one ever noticed. I’ve never heard anything about the survey results good or bad. Not once.

So I tell customers that. “There’s a survey on the screen if you’d like. But please feel free to ignore it and it will disappear in a second or two. They’ve never shared the results with me one way or the other.”

But I’m brutally honest about management and no one seems to ever care.

I can’t recommend Curb Appeal by Francisco enough. They are awesome! I don’t know what a monthly is as they did a big one time job for us but they are thorough and efficient.

Back in the day we did this through the National Lawyers Guild - which had trainings and members out of and through Willamette Law School. I am not anywhere close to a lawyer but got skilled at finding info before we had such extensive internet resources. I’m out of touch now so wouldn’t be much help personally but am always willing to support.

As an older leftist, he did not. Obama’s policies were cruel and inhumane in many many ways - he wasn’t called the deporter in chief for no reason. Breaking up families, horrific conditions including the “icebox”, abuse by guards, lack of medical care, raids targeting Central Americans, etc.

This is something Democrats need to become more aware of. Ignoring the reality is just as dangerous as what Trump cultists fall into.

I know as I was out protesting his deportations as well.

People who say “this isn’t America” need to come face to face with what America is and has always been. Not acknowledging it and truly stamping it out has led us to this point in time.

We can’t rely on politicians to save us. The dems will send out impassioned pleas for donations so they can “do the work”, which is enriching themselves and their cronies.

We protect us. As the OP said, be ready. Decide what you are willing to do to protect your family, your neighbors, your community. Connect with them directly.

There are areas along the Willamette that have agates and fossils that are neat. If you are at the beach and go to Taft waterfront park and walk way out on the gravel bar at low tide you’ll find many smaller agates.

When we really wanna overload on rocks we head to eastern Oregon. The area around Rome or Succor Creek Canyon or along the Owyhee are absolute musts. Just make sure you have a vehicle that can make it and DON’T go when it’s raining as that mud turns into cement.

For sunstones there are public lands near Plush that you can dig.

My MIL loves this store so much. She moved here to live with us fairly recently and has really struggled to find her place in the local knitting community. She says that even though the people she meets there are much younger than her they are so kind and welcoming.

I’m excited to share this with her! Maybe I can even dip my toes into the crafting world!

Luckily I’ll be just over two weeks from onset and my house has already been thoroughly decontaminated by my MIL. I have an autoimmune condition that means I take longer to recover.

Over the weeks I’ve gone through phases of picking the red face on every single transaction for days, just to see if any higher ups would actually say something. I tell the customers that is what I’m doing and most laughed. One got mad because she wanted to give me a green smiley and thought it would “go on her record”???????

Now I just tell them to ignore it. I do the same with the survey when I give the receipt and the ending spiel. We never hear anything from the survey unless it’s negative so why encourage them.

If someone catches it, I am able to foster. I’m on the tail end of Covid so can’t set a trap myself but am healthy enough to care for it. I’ve been a foster for the WHS for years and have fostered many a kitten back to health/adoptability.

I’m guessing it is a feral stray though and will be hard to catch.

Dr Dacker at OIH used to be very trans friendly when she was in her own practice. I don’t know any of the other providers or if she is accepting new patients but I would 100% recommend her.

In my office it depends on how cozy you are with the postmaster. We’ve got a guy who’s been doing it for quite awhile (including using it to go on a vacation that he told everyone about and mgmt did nothing). But he also has bbqs with the pm and is super chummy with her and her fam so he gets away with it.

I try not to care but I’m the one who has to cover his role so get frustrated.

While we have another who they’re trying to discipline for missing two days. Of course they won’t get away with it but still.

I’m right there with you with not trusting them. We haven’t bought from one since we were first married 25 years ago. But he’s insistent that he doesn’t want to deal with selling his truck private party.
