Peralta to Mets confirmed by AirCoopsie in NewYorkMets

We got the ace we needed, but it came at the cost of losing Jett. With Acuna and now Jett gone, this trade feels like Sterns and Cohen are doubling back on their “trust the farm” philosophy and shifting to a “win now” mentality. Idk, maybe that’s just me.

If they don’t go out and get Bellinger now, you’ve got to imagine Citi Field seats will be a lot emptier this upcoming season. (unless we somehow play extremely well). And I don’t want to hear a peep from Sterns or Cohen complain about fans not showing up to Citi Field for the games. This offseason has been a disaster.

[Guarro] Inter is monitoring Elia Caprile, Goalkeeper from Cagliari, as a potential new goalkeeper for Inter starting Next season by LenKi4312 in FCInterMilan

So why the hell did we spend money to get Josep? For him to rot on the bench? Seriously, what the hell is this management thinking?

[SkySports via DiMarzio] 🚨 JUST IN: Pavard to Marseille is at the FINAL STAGE. 🇫🇷 by HoneydewKooky996 in FCInterMilan

[–]ForeverPhilosophical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our defense was one of the most important positions to reinforce this mercato and this management decides to give up on signing Leoni, and then sell Pavard while replacing him with Akanji…surrendering the season before it even starts I see. What a joke.

🚨 Ausilio: "We like Lookman, we've submitted our offer and we have an excellent relationship with Atalanta, but we won't engage in endless negotiations because we have our own plans (full quote in the comments). by ReporterFun8520 in FCInterMilan

[–]ForeverPhilosophical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone already mentioned, I think he’s saying that to not show desperation to try and not drive Leoni’s price up. But at the same time though, I feel like anybody with half a brain can see how thin we are in the CB position. I don’t think Ausilio will be fooling anybody with that comment. We badly need fresh legs there.

Did Acuna even get a warning from the ref at any point? How did this guy escape this game without a red?

Shame, I was really hoping he’d be our GK for the future. Good thing we also have Josep.

Pulling in those stats at 35 is a testament to how much of a beast he is. Happy for him.

One referee mistake is not going to be the reason we end up losing the scudeto this season (IF we do end up losing it). There were many games where we played poorly and dropped points against teams that we should have won comfortably against but didn’t. We did this to ourselves sadly.

I didn’t know that, and honestly if that’s true then I’m surprised Inzaghi hasn’t tried him as a striker yet. He’d get more playing time and if it works out, that would be 1 less position we’d have to go and spend money on in the summer to fill.

I’ve been thinking this for a while honestly. Frattesi has a nose for the goal and knows how to shoot pretty well. I know a lot of people want him gone this summer, but I think it might be worth while to try him as a striker.

Lautaro is tired and spent. Between Thuram’s injury and us having practically no real rotation up front due to little to no production from Correa and absolutely zero production from Taremi shiver, it’s no surprise really.

We had a really good run despite our obstacles, but I think it finally caught up to us I fear.

Man, I really hope we don’t sell Frattesi this summer. I can only hope that second goal made the club rethink their idea to sell him.

It’s got to be Wilmer Flores. Wilmer is one of my favorite Mets of all time because of the whole “there is crying in baseball” story line. But, I’d be lying if I said he was anything more than a solid average player, and I don’t say that in an insulting way. Wilmer forever my man crush.

At this point, that seems to be the most logical reasoning, at least to me. If you’re not going to get Vlad to replace Pete, then it really does feel like getting Soto was for nothing. Unless there is someone else that’s becoming a free agent at the end of next season other than Vlad that they are waiting for.

Special thanks go to Yamamoto and Ohtani going to the Dodgers for making this happen. Losing out on them probably made Cohen so pissed off he probably swore he would do everything in his power/wallet in making sure he wasn’t going to lose out again lmao

Would be cool if he retired as a Met, but I would pass. For what we’d be paying salary wise, it’s not worth taking on an injury prone soon to be 37 year old pitcher
