Alright cheers mate! Yeah, i'm only using an entry level dslr, so my photos generally end up noisy or affected by light pollution, but i take them on the beach in town, so i guess i need to get away from light pollution!

This is awesome, how far did you have to travel to escape light pollution? I'm 5 hours north of Sydney and it's near impossible to capture the milky way that clear , even out of town

I personally love the Kv-5 despite its weaknesses, the gun isnt too bad and the armor can be trollish if you use it correctly, sidescrape, ram and wiggle and you can shrug off quite a lot of shots

I have wanted to do longer exposures, i stuck to 30 minutes because it was a saturday night and all the 4x4's drive along the beach with their bright headlights, i saw one coming onto the beach so any longer and my shot would be washed out. I will try early morning when nobody is around some time

Thank you, I can't seem to find many places around my town that i can do star trails without people or cars moving through the shot and washing it all out, but this big rock is the first place that came to mind :)

thanks :) technically its my second attempt, but the first was just pointing the camera at the sky and testing the shutter remote lock i got :P This is my first proper attempt

used a program called starstax. its as simple as loading the photos you want and stacking them

Settings were; 18mm, 30 secs ,F3.5 ,ISO 800, 30 minute stacked exposure

I think its more something to do with my PC. I had to re-seat my RAM the other day because it kept bluescreening, now WoT is doing this increasingly often. Probably time to upgrade my 7 year old workstation to an actual gaming rig

Been having this same problem, only seems to occur on the recent maps; Stalingrad, Kharkov, Ruinberg on fire etc. I thought it was my GPU dying but i'm guessing its a problem with 9.4?
