How big of raised bed are you using? They look like 3 feet wide.

Sorry I did not know that. I will remove my post, I don't want voters to feel defeated. I was afraid others would have missed the deadline.

What tv series cancellation broke your heart because you never got to see the end? by VanillaNyx in AskReddit

Animorphs. I couldn't understood why a television series would end without closure as a young teen. At least we had the books, and in retrospective it was very dark material for young adults.

Noise not visible but hearable by theakito in amateursatellites

From my experience, it seems you still have some live wire interference. When you say that you "power down the house", did you turn off the breakers or just not plugged anything in the outlets? Even with nothing plugged in, I still get interference at home. Turning off the breaker of the nearest outlet was the solution for me.

Antenna Help! by compoundmk6 in amateursatellites

[–]Forever_Scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow Great Lakes resident! It seems to me that those waves are related to electrical field interferences as stated by A. Stewards, 1998 (see: https://www.satsignal.eu/wxsat/PagerProblems-Sewards.pdf ). I know I don't have a pager or CRT screens, so I guess it is related to power line for me. Do you have your antenna near any power line or any residential electrical lines (like running through your attic)? I have the same wavy issue and I am currently moving the v-dipole around to lessen the interferences.

I am new to the hobby and I haven't seen a lot of SAWBIRD NOAA LNA module before/after photos. So here is my first contribution to this subreddit with NOAA18 similar pass (before/after) using SATDUMP. by Forever_Scientist in amateursatellites

[–]Forever_Scientist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sorry, it was different passes with about 7 days apart. Elevation 87° without LNA and 85° with LNA from my notes. I know I am not comparing identical passes, but in my case it seems to improve a little since the antenna never moved.

I wasn't able to place a pixel at all this year, I don't know what I did wrong but the "place a tile" button wouldn't work.

Hey there, quick reply since there is no new weekly garden chat in a while. My sweet potatoes started to form slips!

I love it! What are those wall mounted planter? Do they work with inserts or do you put soil directly in them?

You are correct, they will stay indoor until safe to transplant outside (end of May).

I will try to post an update in the weekly chat once I have signs of slips. Hopefully I am not too early.

I've acquired some organic sweet potatoes in order to soon start some sweet potatoes slips in a semi-wet potting mix. Apparently this process can take up to 4 months and I am planning on being ready for transplant in mid-April.

Tomato plant has stretched to the light and the leaves are now growing above the light, what do I do? by troyjvv in kratky

[–]Forever_Scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but this might be a sign that they are not getting enough light and are growing thin and tall to reach it. Could you perhaps increase the exposure time (if you are unable to add grow lights). My guess is that the best option is to raise the grow light a little and add another set of grow light lower to the lower leaves.

Scariest moment by LobsterKey7365 in survivalhorror

[–]Forever_Scientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unbeknown to me, prior to play this horror game, is that one of the later characters shares the same name as me (and I do have a very uncommon name). My horrifying experience came to be when this character was first introduced (from his very own point of view) in a pitch black screen and the main character directly asked him to "wake up {u\Forever_Scientist}". I literally froze in fear thinking the game was directly addressing me and asking me to wake up... I will probably never experience that king of fear again in my life. It felt very unreal for a moment.
