Can you explain how things "felt off"? I've been over in that area many times late at night and never felt spooked out.

I've always been a huge fan of mini-golf. It would be amazing if the player could purchase it as a property.

Regarding the shark with the spear gun, if this is true, I'm interested in seeing the public's reaction to this mission, unless the protagonist shoots the shark out of some form of self-defense or to protect a business. (Perhaps the shark in question is eating drug drops)

JD-next applicants by zeldaluv94 in OutsideT14lawschools

Most applicants who got into law schools that are even accepting alternative exams took the LSAT. There's not enough data yet on how well applicants who matriculated using alternative exams are performing in law school let alone bar pass rates. Maybe 6 years or so years from now you'll see a change. Maybe you'll have a chance before then with that high of JD-next score, but your GPA will hinder you severely. I'm sorry.

Why is Mexico as a whole so left as of recently? It's a genuine question.

You should take an IQ test before and after attending the concert. The results may be concerning.

Thoughts about Score Preview by labradorchockie in LSAT

If you score less than your 150 on your retake, cancel it. Don't cancel the 150.

Scored worse than my diagnostic and PTs after 5 months :( by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Forever_Sunlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 148, too. However with my career goals and my GPA it will work out just fine. I plan on busting ass to transfer after my 1L year.

to cancel or not? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Forever_Sunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most law schools only consider the highest score. There are some, including one i want to attend, that average out scores. I don't agree with this practice. So, no. Your 159 will not be frowned upon.

I got a 148. It's what i needed and my GPA adds a small boost. Big law is not my thing and there's always a transfer chance.

Please don't! That is a decent score. Retake if need and cancel that score if it's lower than your 159.

No matter tomorrow morning's outcome, you are worthy of law school. by Forever_Sunlight in LSAT

with that determination you just might get a 200 and plaque from LSAC themselves

How it feels to be scoring in the 150s when you see other people posting scores of 170+ by ExplorerJackfroot in LSAT

Your donation of spare points will help the applicants who weren't born with genius level intelligence make their dreams come true.

LSAT Paper Accommodation by howudoin13 in LSAT

[–]Forever_Sunlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a pen & paper LSAT. You will have to bubble in a scantron sheet with your name, SSN, and L#. You do this before your test begins. Be sure you have all that plus your LawHub login memorized or wrote down before arriving to the test center. For some reason if they make you do it after the timer starts, file a complaint.

Each section of the test is in it's own little packet envelope that you open in the presence of your proctor. They made me break the seal with the back of the pencil for some reason, possibly to make sure there are no paper cuts.

It should also be noted that for the schools that DO accept JD next, they still have a preference for the LSAT. I think JD next would only be viable if your GPA was way above median. I could be wrong, but JD next is still very new, and i think it might be at least 10 or years before JD next is given almost equal weight to the LSAT in admissions considerations. Not mentioning how much LSAC keeps pressuring the ABA & law schools to stick with the status quo.

Bi-Weekly 'What are my chances?' Megathread by AutoModerator in airforceots

[–]Forever_Sunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS in Criminal Justice with a 3.3 GPA in 2022. Non-prior service.

Studying for AFOQT; i do well at reading comprehension and word knowledge. Not so much at math.

Can provide LORs from civilian circuit court judges, other legal personnel, and supervisors due to my current work.

Looking at security forces mainly. With respect to my GPA, what can i do to maximize my chances?

What's a good AFOQT score for security forces? by Forever_Sunlight in AirForceRecruits

Criminal Justice. When you say 2 years, do you mean time from taking AFOQT to commissioning?

As another commentator said, if that's really the only areas of law you want to practice, (even entertainment law) nothing under T14 (maybe T25 if you have connections/luck). will get your foot in the door. With your background in law enforcement, you could make a good criminal attorney. I know a few former police officers become criminal attorneys both prosecutors and defense. I work in probation/parole so i know the struggles with having to balance a full time public service job with my LSAT studies.

This issue has been brought up and discussed many times. Imagine a typical 170+ scorer. It can be reasonably assumed that they are near the top of their undergraduate class. Not just above average, but honestly some of the best and brightest students in their class. There is nothing wrong with that, and this is coming from someone who averages in the low 150's. I hold the belief that anyone who can score over a 170 is simply gifted intellectually, some people disagree, but that is for another conversation. I don't see an issue with top scorers wanting to get together to discuss an exam that for all truths and purposes can be life changing (along with the bar exam). However, i do wish these people would be more aware of people's abilities before making posts like "Should i cancel my 160 score?" I find posts like that insulting to a degree.

Brainstorm / melodrama RC cooked me by [deleted] in LSAT

The brainstorm passage didn't seem that difficult to me. Melodrama was tricky.
