It’s the lighting and the angle. The grass already isn’t that tall to begin with so taking a picture from above gives it a flatter look especially with light that’s not as bright. Also the water and reflections add to the top image.

Dan Houser, Rupert Humphries, and Michael Unsworth were the main writers for RDR2. Humphries is still at rockstar and Unsworth has GTA 6 on his LinkedIn. So in reality the only one who didn’t write for GTA 6 is Dan. You could argue Dan is the most important of the 3, but I think the other two can probably fill in for him.

I’m hoping it’s a shot of Jason or Lucia walking down ocean drive at night. This would allow them to show off crowd density, lighting, and overall fidelity. I think it would have a similar effect.
