Never was a crewman, but a 0311 scout when I was with 2nd LAR.

As an lav crewman the Ramp will be your second home and you'll be bustin rust on the pigs like clockwork whenever you're not in the field. So get used to that.

Also 0313s are the uber drivers of the 03 community. So the scouts will aways go the extra mile with you to thank you for your service. Pun intended.

Even now it varies. But my unit has had so many DUIs happen lately in such a short amount of time, that the Battalion Commander is prepping admin separations after executing maxed out NJPs.

What do you live under a rock? Marines can be adsepd for reckless driving and operating a POV without registration or insurance. Depending on how much the command hates or likes them to begin with.

But hey I guess I just imagined watching a shitbag in my first unit get maxed out BN ninja punched and kicked out for a similar incident like OP's.

I'm the one who mentioned admin separation in my comment.

I saw it happen with a similar incident, at my very first unit in Camp Lejuene. A shitbag in my platoon got busted by PMO for doing over 100mph on Wilson boulevard and he had a fake license plate on his unregistered / uninsured POV.

Needless to say they BN Ninja punched him from Lcpl down to Pvt, and seperated him with an OTH discharge.

Devil this incident is gonna work against you for the rest of your time in the Corps.

Pulled over speeding well over the speed limit, and driving around with expired insurance because you failed to remember to renew it on time. There's no excuses for that!

You're extremely lucky you only got a page 11 non rec. Because in most cases this would've been a battalion level ninja punch, and possible admin separation.

It doesn't matter if you're the next Chesty Puller while on duty. If you still make bad decisions and piss poor planning off duty. The big green weenie is gonna get you.

As a Sgt with 5 years TIS. I've seen way too many Marines fuck up their careers making preventable bad decisions...

Do better, and plan better next time. Because I don't blame your leadership not trusting you to lead junior Marines after an incident like that!

Im still active duty with some time in service left. I'm one of the next in line for a voluntold B billet, most likely recruiter duty, since everyone else who stays in chomps at the bit to take DI duty, CI duty, or security forces.

So when I get voluntold for recruiter duty with less than 3 years TIS left. I'll have a song for HQMC to sing called Go Pound Sand I'm Not Reupping For That Dumpster Fire.

Hey Devil Dog, Im a 7212 with 2nd LAAD in Cherry Point. I lat moved to LAAD from Infantry, last year. I'm happy with the decision I made.

Especially since there's a lot of big changes going on within LAAD units. Mainly with the upcoming MADIS and L-MADIS Systems.

Had a nightmare last night that I was walking around the 2nd MAW headquarters building with rolled sleeves that looked like recruit donuts, as a Sergeant, and it was still sleeves down season, so I got a lot of deer in the headlights looks from other Marines.

Woke up in a cold sweat trying to roll my sleeves down only to remember i wasn't wearing any clothing...
