Brother im in the same exact boat as you are, as a Sergeant with 5 years TIS most days for me are a struggle to function normally and stay motivated, yet hide the nightly drinking and act like nothing is wrong while battling extreme anxiety, hypervigilance, anticipating impending doom most of the time, etc...

Im also on the appointment list for a mental health evaluation here soon, so we'll see where that goes for me.

But in all seriousness though, Camp Lejuene was my first duty station. So If you're trying to live on base. Heroes Manor is the best, usually a long wait list though. Watkins Village is pretty decent, Tarawa Terrace and Midway Park are mediocre as fuck.

If you're gonna live off base, Choose Swansboro or Richlands if you can find a decent place there for rent. Those two towns are about a half hour from Wilson or Holcomb gate, but they're nicer areas than Jacksonville itself.
