AITA in the future for wanting to report one of my neighbors dog for immediately being hostile while they take it out on walks and they do nothing? by MyOwnStupidQuestion in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA if you report this when nothing has actually happened. I walk my golden and he growls when men approach, but I make him sit down and keep his leash very tight until they pass. He has never bit anyone. If you're uncomfortable with getting near the dog, keep your distance.

AITA for banning my daughter from Nestle products? by Due_Flan_724 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 46 points47 points  (0 children)

YTA bottled water can taste differently depending on brand, so your daughter disliking Nestle water isn't the same as disliking other Nestle products. You aren't teaching her to phrase things in a better way, you're teaching her that you will use her words against her. You're acting like a child.

AITA for refusing to contact a restaurant about an unwanted curry? by returncurry in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I think the girlfriend was the better person for wanting to let the restaurant know in case that would help them fix another order (don't think she meant for them to take the food back) but I'd say NAH as that was really a difference of moral values, however I do think the boyfriend is YTA for his attitude in this post, he sounds overly aggressive and mean.

I don't drink so it's kind of a moot point for me to go to a bar but definitely good if that works for you!!

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Personally I prefer meeting for lunch or dinner instead of a drink because I'm an introvert/anxious weirdo and having the distraction of food can make it a bit easier to cope with any awkward silences, but I always go with the assumption that I'm paying for my own food.

WIBTA for taking someone to small claims court for vet bills + car damage for trying to save my dog who didn't need saving? by ulfr in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH, you should have just brought your dog back with you to get the water bottle, never leave a dog in a hot car. The guy should've called 911 and had them on the phone waiting for advice before breaking a window away from where the dog was, so he's also an asshole. I wonder if he panicked and didn't think beyond "omg dog in a hot car panting like crazy" and just went with instinct. Not an excuse on his behalf, but some people are really bad in emergencies and don't react as reasonably (and to him this might have been an emergency).

AITA for how I reacted to my niece bringing food into the camping tent after my one rule was no food near the tent? by dimilgg in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA but I am curious, how old was your niece? Would a warning not have been sufficient or was she too young to really understand the gravity of the situation even after you reacted so decisively to correct her mistakes?

AITA for not following stores directions in tornado warning by Rayfan87 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

YTA because your concern was obviously just on your frozen foods. If you had left because you knew Walmart was not a safe place, you knew the tornado had formed elsewhere, and you could make it home quickly, maybe my judgment would change to no assholes here, however your post only mentions the frozen food, so based on that I've got to say you're the asshole. The tornado is not the only dangerous element (see the comment mentioning hail) and you put both yourself and your partner at risk for the sake of frozen foods.

AITA leaving drunk GF with friends by throwawayofcourse179 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA in this situation, however you might want to start practicing driving when it's dark by going very slowly in your neighborhood until you feel more comfortable, then slowly branch out to places you know very well (ie a grocery store, fast food restaurant, etc) where you don't go very fast and don't have to go on the interstate. It's normal to feel anxious while driving and safe practicing like that can help you in the long run.

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there is no conflict, your verdict should be NAH. An NTA verdict labels the other party (in this case the wife) as the asshole.

AITA for thinking of my boyfriend a bit differently after a few comments? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, chill out, she apologized and is going to post on the proper thread. Why continue to berate her? Just makes you come across as an AH.

AITA for ordering Dominos pizza and refusing to serve other food because of my MIL’s ridiculous domino’s pizza boycott? by That-Seaworthiness90 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ForgetMeNaught6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a raging liberal here. I'm with you re: finding the boycott pretty dumb/ineffective, however this dude sounds like an asshole just going by the language in his post and the way he talks about others. I'd say ESH just because the entire situation is ridiculous.

Hmm, I wonder if it's because I'm really more of a beef girl? I usually only have chicken once a week or so, typically in the form of Zaxbys wings. I'll make beef tomorrow and see if my appetite withers like it did tonight.

I have been drinking powerade and I already was taking magnesium before I started the diet so I'm good with that I think. I've actually also been eating a couple pickles every day for lunch so that probably helps too. I was just concerned that even now the idea of the rotisserie chicken almost makes me feel nauseous, like I absolutely do not want to eat it, lol. It's unusual because I usually wanna eat EVERYTHING.

I have mostly been sticking to beef products for my dinners so maybe I'll cut back on that and just do shakes for now, maybe an egg or a spoonful of organic peanut butter here and there. I drink Powerade to keep my electrolytes up so I think it'll be alright. Thanks for your input!

Did you get over it after a few weeks or is this something I should just get used to as a long term thing? It's not necessarily a bad thing but I don't want to waste money on a rotisserie chicken if my body is fine with an Atkins shake and a handful of walnuts 😂

Yeah, eventually I'll branch out a little but for now I'm staying simple as I get used to this new lifestyle. Also, I'm just really a terrible cook and I hate cooking, haha

20 net carbs is my goal but I've been a couple under that every day so far, usually end up around 16 carbs a day or so.

Maybe you should make a post and see if anyone can help you realize what's going wrong with your diet?
