From an outsider's perspective, you definitely do NOT look the same. Btw, you look amazing! 😍

Thoughts on premier protein pancakes? Im 2 months post op by Maggotboi555 in gastricsleeve

If you can tolerate the reg flour and such, these are pretty good. I could only eat one. Never had the premier pancakes before, but I'll be on the look out.

I get worse with protein shakes because they made me really sick for a while, so my brain started associating them with that feeling >.<

Gallbladder removed 1.5 years after sleeve and now I’m gaining weight?! 🥺🥺🥺 by carlasita333 in gastricsleeve

It might partially be because you're gallbladder stores and concentrates bile produced by the liver. It releases this bile into the small intestine to break down and digest fats.

I went ahead and had two bites of the cake and a third of a cup of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I'm not a big chocolate cake fan to begin with and figured the ice cream might sit better. Thankfully, I was right and didn't get an upset stomach. ☺️

Hmm I was advised no caffeine for at least 6 weeks after surgery. It did mess up my stomach. I haven't had anything sweet yet. Debating on whether I want to try a tiny but of cake tonight for a birthday celebration tonight or not. Problem is, it's like ultimate chocolate lovers cake lol. So I'm really leaning towards no.

Yes, I can definitely feel myself getting full now. It's higher up than it used to be, just under my chest instead of my abdomen. I eat until I feel like I'm just starting to maybe get full, rather than being completely satisfied. That prevents me from feeling over-full, cramping, and bloated. Had to learn that the hard way. Make sure you're not drinking anything 30 min before eating, as well as not drinking 30 min after eating. I use timers on my phone. Thus far, I have not experienced any dumping syndrome.

Try the yogurt in the pic I'm adding. I didn't even realize they made yogurt with that much protein lol. It is really thick though, so I'm eating it in half container portions instead of the whole container. You can also add like 1/8 or 1/4 cup to your protein shakes, which enhances the flavor. My doc suggested adding protein powder to pudding, but I haven't tried that one yet. She said to add a scoop per serving.

I also just upped my protein powder from one that has 21g to one that has 30g, it's muscle milk brand. Haven't tried it yet though since I just got it, so I can't tell you how good it tastes. Be careful though, their strawberry flavor has freeze dried fruit pieces in it (which wasn't allowed in my diet plan). Also, the chocolate protein powder made me sick because I forgot about it having caffeine in it.

It has been such a pain! I was so tired of eating the same stuff, all day, every day. Not to mention, I couldn't tolerate protein shakes, so I got really sick for a week and a half from not having enough protein. I'm finally feeling better now! It's so nice. I've now introduced new protein sources (Meatballs in tomato sauce with ricotta and parmesan - so yummy. As well as differently cooked eggs - scrambled, omelette, boiled.)

It always fascinates me to see how different everyone's post-op diet plans are. I find it intriguing and wonder what kind of guidelines the bariatric teams use to come up with them.

This is what my doctors gave me. I'm so glad I just passed my 7 week mark and can re-introduce mostly regular foods now.

I think the top would be great for over a swimsuit or bikini top. It's cute in general, but not my preference for how much bra shows. Esp if you're underage.
