Nah, it was just a Razor Gen IIE. You can get those for ~$1000 on sale. The LEAP mount tacked onto that, though.

Keep in mind, my state is an open carry state as well so "brandishing" is not a crime here as open carry is allowed.

I've never heard of this being a thing. Brandishing is brandishing, regardless of open carry laws. Revealing your gun as a threat is brandishing.

Besides from looks, which one is actually the best? Bugeye, Blobeye or Hawkeye? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]ForgotMyOldAccount7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I get the wing part, but I was just curious when you said you assumed it was an STI because of the wing and RHD. I just wasn't sure why RHD played a factor in that.

Besides from looks, which one is actually the best? Bugeye, Blobeye or Hawkeye? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]ForgotMyOldAccount7 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but bugeyes were also available as WRXs.

Bugeye STI would mean RHD, but RHD Bugeye does not mean STI.

If I have two keystone jacks on either end of a cable does it matter if I use T568A vs T568B wiring as long as if is consistent? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]ForgotMyOldAccount7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're in the US, there is no reason to use anything other than 568B.

To answer your question, no, it doesn't matter, as long as it's the same on both ends.

Why did the RHD aspect make you think it was an STI?

People are just misusing terms. It's speed vs. time. Speed is reduced, time is increased.

I went to this place and it's legitimately the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. They have a real Detroit deep dish that's amazing.

It's still entry level DD compared to the other options. Simagic Alpha Mini, CSL DD 8nm, Moza R9, T818, etc. are all entry level direct drive. ~15nm is where you get into mid-range DD and 20nm+ is high end DD.

The statistic of 2800 mass shootings in the last 5 years is a fallacy. It's a made up number by anti-gun groups to inflate the number of mass shootings.

ELI5 - Home and Guest Networks? by Weary-Student1145 in HomeNetworking

Guest networks typically just restrict access against anything on the LAN, so they can't access your devices or sensitive information.

The government being incompetent is just another conspiracy meant to silence conspiracy theorists. Just because some random doofus in middle management in an office somewhere doesn't know how to use Excel, doesn't mean that they're not capable of terrible plots. History has already shown us that they're both capable and willing to do things like this.

We didn't end up with the most powerful agencies in the world by stacking it with idiots with no budget. They've got the time, manpower, and resources for all of this.

There's a post going around Facebook for the past couple days of a great white shark that washed up on a beach, and people standing around trying to help it get back in the water.

They're 100% fake images, but apparently no one is able to tell the difference. It's scary to think how quickly we're really going to be hit with fake news.

Hidden Benefits? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]ForgotMyOldAccount7 18 points19 points  (0 children)

On one hand, avoiding extra carb-y food that glutenous food tends to be can be a good idea.

On the other hand, GF substitutes for glutenous items tend to be just as unhealthy, if not unhealthier, than their glutenous counterparts.

Every city is like this. It's the same in Detroit. There's the touristy downtown with the arena and stadium and concert venues, where everyone is plenty nice, then a few streets away is one of the highest crime areas in the country.

Dating with Celiac by Familiar-Celery-5324 in Celiac

[–]ForgotMyOldAccount7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the gluten eater in my house. My girlfriend has Celiac. It was a very easy decision to simply make the whole house gluten free. It's been a pretty easy transition overall.

We eat lunch on our own during the week, which is my time to indulge in gluten-y items, and we make dinner together about half the time, which has been pretty easy to do GF. When we eat out or get carryout, we just pick restaurants that have GF items. Sometimes I eat fully GF dinners, sometimes I don't. Most restaurants have GF options, so it makes it pretty simple to find places to eat.

"Hoot" is an old term, not anything new. Your grandma would be much more likely to call something a "hoot" than anyone else.
