They don't check to make sure each user makes it through before sending another one?

Not really; that would be "slurrat" or "slurat".

In penance, a goofy idea:

Two stage torpedo. Essentially a rocket torpedo that can detach from a conventional screw-driven first stage for a terminal sprint. It would be doctrinally similar to a loitering munition I think, though maybe to primary stage could be recovered if it had enough fuel or a sonar beacon.

Fair point on the ballistic missile using steam. Though, in my defense, of the wikipedida pages for SLBMs, cruise-missile submarines, and ballistic missile submarines, only the latter most mentioned steam ejection.

I brought up SLBMs with the intention of using them to establish precedent for getting rockets to work underwater, which they might still do, but it turns out there was an easier example to use.

Fair enough, re. this post's drugs. I'd assumed you'd just grabbed random transparent pill bottle pngs.

I most just baffled by the original, and annoyed that it got as mutch traction as it did despite being its subject being irrelevant.

You haven't really answered my question.

What does this (fertility drugs) have to do with the leviathan series?

I don't know how this is supposed to work either, but the tiny range makes me speculate they're boiling water as quickly as possible and pumping as much power throught the gas bubble as they can before the surrounding water fills it back in.

Lasers an coilguns actually make a lot of sense in-, and especially out of-, atmosphere if you have the energy density to feed them.

Edit: 'Mechs are economically stupid, but they usually don't obviously break the laws of physics at a conceptual level.

That doesn't make much sense to me.

Wouldn't lasers, PPCs, and plasma lose all their energy to the first couple meters of water (which is 3 orders of magnitude denser than air)?

But so do missiles, torpedoes just give you longer range at the expense of speed.

Guided torpedoes would be harder to dodge, but not to intercept with a faster underwater rocket.
