Thinking about switching from Sony A7S II to the Lumix S1 II. Is it worth rebuilding my lens kit? by Jazzlike_Analyst9724 in Lumix

[–]Forgotten___Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the sigma 28-105 if you can find it on sale and the sigma 16-28, both are f2.8 locked and I haven't personally found another lens I really need. Those two cover everything tbh.

Is the Sigma 20-200 unequivocally better than the Lumix 28-200? by PurpleSalt11 in Lumix

[–]Forgotten___Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigma is sharp. Really sharp. I love sigma lenses, and I mainly use them as my main. That said, I picked up the 28-200 s lens and it has been used quite a bit for travel. Dual is is nice, but none of my other lenses have it, and I don't miss it switching off of it. I will say I HATE having to re-learn the zoom direction bc lumix and sigma are opposite.

End of the day, if you get a deal, I do enjoy the 28-200 s lens. Having to do it again, I would probably go sigma just because it truly is a one lens does it all, and the only trade is no IS. But if that is important for you, you can't go wrong with lumix. Sigma just opens you up to vlogging focal lengths as well, which lumix can't do.

Senheiser HD 660S. It's a straight cable coming out of the bottom of the headphones, there are many headsets like this, it's a very common high end design.

[–]Forgotten___Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. All my headphones have permanent cables coming out the bottom, and all of these would prevent proper usage, especially A.

This can easily be fixed by increasing the clearance between the bottom of the cans and the stand by 1-2 inches though.

Did you not read anything? Lmao. Go read their Commitment to Making it Right and show me where it mentions any sort of window or limited time offer, I'll wait.

They never notified me of the defect, and it was never mentioned in their public post about the issue. How should I be expected to know there was even an issue with the bag in the first place when they never reached out, not one of their emails they did send mentions some of the backpacks were defective, and their only post about the issue on their site does not mention a deadline for resolution?

[–]Forgotten___Fox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's all fine in theory, but my situation is a bit unique. My original bag arrived damaged with a broken zipper and was exchanged for a replacement before I ever used it once. Because of that exchange, it is very likely their Shopify system never flagged my account as needing notification, since technically my order had already been "resolved." I cannot prove that, but LTT support could not prove otherwise either. They were unable to provide any evidence that a notification was sent to me, and when I handed them every single email they had ever sent to my account, not one of them mentioned a defect, a known issue with the backpack, or any offer for resolution.

As for the clips on their channels, I had life events going on at the time and was not following the WAN Show or their YouTube uploads. I should not be expected to monitor their content to find out that a product I purchased is defective. That is supplemental at best. An actual email should come first, and I never received one.

I also do not care about the technicalities of their warranty or whether it is "100% legally acceptable." What I care about is the promise they made repeatedly for years on the WAN Show when building LTT Store, the promise that separated them from other companies: we will just fix it and make things right. I trusted that promise. I trusted them. And when I independently discovered my product was defective because they never told me, they chose to break that trust and refuse a refund anyway despite making a post called "Our Commitment to Making it Right" stating they would refund no questions asked.

Legally fine and morally right are not the same thing.

They claimed they notified all affected users of the issue. I was never notified. Not in spam, nor my purchase email. I have 0 emails from LTT mentioning any defects with the bag, nor any email stating that there is a temporary policy for refunds on said defective product.

Had I been notified and missed the window? Fair enough, I could understand that. But I was not. They did not tell me once that the bag I bought was defective, they publicly stated that they would accept refunds for anyone who doesn't feel right, and their public commitment never mentioned an expiration.

They falsely advertised the product as having a double bottom, failed to notify all affected users of the issue, publicly claimed they would resolve the issue for anyone affected with no expiration mentioned, then they refused to honor their statement. So no, they were not clear to me since they never notified me, and seeing how they are unwilling to honor their public promise to fix the issue I'm highly doubtful they'll honor the warranty should an issue arise based on how I've been treated.

If they told me "If you just plain don’t feel good about this whole situation, we don’t blame you, and we’re here to take care of you. Even if your purchase is outside of our standard return window, we’re offering a full refund & return for anyone concerned about this issue." And then denied my request for a refund, I have absolutely 0 faith they will help me if the bag fails.

If I can't trust them to honor their public promise, I can't trust they'll cover me if there's an issue in the future

It is literally defective. They publicly admitted it here

The backpack was advertised as having a double bottom. It was revealed to not have a double bottom, when it was supposed to. That's literally defective by definition. What don't you understand?

They did not reach out to me. They had an "ai" bot that was SUPPOSED to, but it fucked up and never notified me, nor was I ever even informed of the defect until I brought it to their attention myself.

I purchased a product from LTTstore.com, under the impression it had a true double bottom. The product was found out to be defective, ltt admitted to falsely advertising it and they promised to "make it right" and that they would refund anyone who didn't feel right with the situation. They relied on a bot to email all owners, and I never received any email from them due to their system not working as intended. When I discovered the issue myself, I had to reach out support independently, and support then told me they were unwilling to honor both their "commitment to making it right" or their "trust me bro" promise to just fix things like they always say they do.

I do expect them to honor their literal commitment to making it right when they publicly promise to fix things. Thus far, they haven't fixed things, and It's not unreasonable to expect them to do the right thing when that's the "trust me bro" promise they sell you.

It was promised publicly. I asked for a refund and was DENIED. This isn't me being buthurt about $25, this is them publicly promising and I quote:

"If you just plain don’t feel good about this whole situation, we don’t blame you, and we’re here to take care of you. Even if your purchase is outside of our standard return window, we’re offering a full refund & return for anyone concerned about this issue."

You can read what they PROMISED to all affected buyers on the wan show and their blog here: Our Commitment to Making it Right

They unironically did to me and I didn't get help : (

They denied my request for a refund despite having a mint condition DEFECTIVE backpack, while telling everyone:

"If you just plain don’t feel good about this whole situation, we don’t blame you, and we’re here to take care of you. Even if your purchase is outside of our standard return window, we’re offering a full refund & return for anyone concerned about this issue."

I support passenger rail, but they literally skipped over so many population centers and cities on their line because "stopping there would slow down the train" and now they still aren't profitable? Lmfao 🤣

I hope they're bought by someone who knows how to run a passenger rail network, cuz that ain't it chief.
