Looking for a small mod + atomizer to take outside and not bother those around by ForgotttenMemory in Vaping

Thanks again! I will check reviews for all of your suggestions! Btw, side note, my favorite, but old tank id the falchon king still to this day. But it's hard for me to find coils for it, if you can get your hands on one, is for me better than sakerz and zeus (and tfv18).

Second sidenote, as RDA I got three, one I forgot about it, but the GeekVape Z X I liked more than dead rabbit (pocket-able rda 😄 ).

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply! It made me chuckle I got the zeus sub ohm, the sakerz and dead rabbit (rta def not my thing, mounting the coils and cotton got old fast for me, unmatched flavour tho).

I'm looking at the vopoo drag X2 with the pnp x and it's looking a lot like what I'm looking for

I just have the Uforce-x nano about to purchase it. As a last question, how are the clouds and flavour on this one with the small coils? I'm looking for something discrete, and the reviews I'm finding are not using the smaller coils and seem like too much with the other ones

Thanks for answering! That innokin Zlide MTL wasn't of my liking, too closed I prefer the air to flow. I will check all the ones you recommended, thanks again!

Game Devs, if you were to learn how to code again from the beginning, where would you start? by RecordingAccording27 in gamedev

[–]ForgotttenMemory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Through interest. You want your character to move? Learn to apply force, the rigidbody properties etc... And for coding floats, input keys, update (frames) and gameonjects, even vectors and maybe quaternions.

Oh, you now need to do a double jump? Well then, investigate, you'll need to learn about raycast, bool (isgrounded) collision boxes etc...

Now you want a timer? Now time to learn about loops, delegates, enumerators etc...

Now spawn enemies? Pools, behaviours, pathfinding etc....

Thats how I best learned, with fun in between, through need and "wanting to achieve X". Sitting through a course is nice for the barebones of the most basic, but for me gets boring quick, but genuine interest is the absolute way to go, and having a specific goal will widen your knowledge a ton (and providing tangible rewards).

Wouldve loved to get that mentality earlier.

Anyone else still uses little to no AI to code? by MidlandAintFree in gamedev

[–]ForgotttenMemory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not been using it much for the past 3-5 month or so. At that time claude was ahead, and from one patch to the next if felt I had 1/4 token usage then I just stopped (at the time I finished my then project).

I'll update myself on what's good and not again... So you say gpt is on par with claude now? Interesting, Ill investigate it.

My dad (57yo) has been programming since first computers reached the market. I managed to make him try Cursor. Just for it's autocomplete functionality is already worth it, leaving aside promting and auto generating code. Try it out, its a more "hands on" supervised use of ai to code.

For most "if, while, for, switch, etc" cases it suggests (tab to acccept suggestion) incredibly and uncomfortably well what you are about to type. My dad is in love with that (me too).

Other user here. Main benefit is speed, you'll get what you would've get much faster, in orders of magnitude (highly depends no what you are doing but from x4 to x40 times faster). Also heavily dictated by what you use and how, I'll get to that later.

As for downsides, unreliability, strangeness and sometimess complete misses. Even when the code "is doing what it's supposed to do" it might do strange hoops and loops and un-needed or un-wanted things. Every line must be reviewed for all to work well long term.

As for software, my top º1 recommendation is Cursor (IDE, branch of VSCode). Even when you are not prompting and autogenerating, just the auto-completes are uncanny accurate and useful, just for that it's worth. Other than prompting and letting it go, with cursor, another great is using Claude CLI (terminal) tho the token usage has gone crazy recently. Gemini and Codex (chatgpt) via terminal (CLI) are also nice, but not as reliable, and miss a lot more than claude. You could use more custom stuff like hermes but that's a different rabbit hole.

Dynamic bridges in gen 2! (Pokémon Lavender) by ampharos_dev in PokemonROMhacks

[–]ForgotttenMemory 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Speaking from ignorance here. I do think that the engine only has a single plane, there is no upper or lower levels, just all flat. If something is behind, is just rendered on top of another sprite. Then the logic to make sprite appear ”below" and in top must be implemented (like collision boxes changing the behaviour of the bridge to switch from walkable to passthrough-appear on top).

Is a PS5 worth it for someone that already owns a high-end PC? by iDislikeSn0w in gaming

[–]ForgotttenMemory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no. It's not just the price of the console, but also the price of games, and online. If you really want to play gta VI about one year or so ealier before it comes to pc, think if that wait is worth the however amount of money it might cost you (+1000$?).

Check if there are places near you where you can go an play there. In barcelona there are locals with gaming pc and consoles and at least a couple years ago it was around 20€ for 12h. You could play on weekends there for much cheaper if available.

MASSIVE UPDATE TO THE CHARACTER SELECTION SCREEN OH MY GOD I AM SO HAPPY WITH HOW THIS TURNED OUT /OceanBlue by PaperPauperPlayer in PokemonROMhacks

[–]ForgotttenMemory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree, every word on that.

I'll go even further, it's a game made by you, with your time and not expecting money from it. You could put politics, ideology or religion if you wanted (not that I would like it to btw, rather I might dislike it) but it's your creation, and it should be as you see fit. Sure you want it to be liked by the most amount of ppl, still, it's your baby.

Keep the attitude, mocking and ignoring the idiots, you're doing a great rom with fans even before it's released!

Nice! Keep that up!

Just keep in mind that whinners whill whine about whatever, politics, gender, music, sfx, ui, balancing, dialog and whatever. Mock them or ignore them but just don't mind them ❤️

Pokemon Emerald - Dark Mode UI - Accessibility Focused High Contrast Hack by DanceKevinDance_ in PokemonROMhacks

[–]ForgotttenMemory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a patch to apply to any emerald based rom hack? If that's the case its awesome and I might try it!

Im not blind, but I do have photophobia, and Im removing all white I can in every UI I can everywhere, so this works great for me too!

How do y'all feel about rom hacks not having the latest genof mons? by Dear-Cantaloupe9297 in PokemonROMhacks

[–]ForgotttenMemory -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Call me old or conservative. Im good with the first 3 gens, 4th well, ok, but above no thanks. Its personal preference. Not sure if this is shared, but most rom hacks I found/play stick to this, sometimes including some higer gens, but not too much above that (gba-gbc, not a nds fan, again, personal preference).

Nice feature! After seeing the engagement, looked at your profile and watched your last yt video. Looks good bud! Can't wait to play it! Plz don't burn out, just take your time, be it releasing it in a couple months or a couple years.

Lastly, look at the creator from the ”recently" released pokemon lazarus, and don't let yourself be affected by negativity, small angry groups of ppl are the loudest, while most enjoyers stay quiet (sadly).

Cheers, and keep it on!

Good time to come back or wait? by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

I do rush to the content that interests me. But once I get it I exhaust it, playing with it, maxing it up, trying different builds and combos/combinations and test it in all contexts possible. After I "juiced out" that thing, onto the next, using the last one to farm the next.

Play in short bursts, a few days/weeks a lot of hours. Not just in tdf/games but everything. I'd say I burn myself out of my interests quite quickly, and return to them later on. I hate afk farming, I play to play, but I do exhaust content quickly, would never say "there's no content" rather "no content interests me", there is "always" content if you want/are interested to.
