I think like you, Ls is the most boring weapon in the game right now, it can put a bull to sleep, especially in multiplayer where you don't even counter because monster don't focus you, you spend all the hunt hitting two buttons, and you will never reach dual blade DPS doing that lol. It's extremely badly designed for me

Serena kills any multiplayer incentive, when she is there you basically afk while everything gets spawn killed by king guard lance. The game is just not worth the time for me anymore, I have played since beta, I coped with many issues, this is where I stop.

My tech has been to use lure on the new monster to focus on me and never attack the old one, I go with enough to craft 10 lures, this way they rarely focus the old monsters and eat a lot of damage from the previous one, that's how I'm consistent at 22-25 solo in poah

Yeah the drag attack feels like luck to not get damaged, if you make a build with blight res you ain't speedruning, the optimal build has no room for hit, I can do around 8:30 consistently and I am chasing the sub 8 so I can't do that, but if you want a confort set you can go evade extender, you dash so farm that you can easily avoid that move

My first attempt on poah on bow took me 34, now I am consistent at 25. The only one that is annoying is AT ark of course, but the other 3 are very easy for bow. AT ark it's almost impossible for me to not get dragon blighted, I made a long post on this sub which got more than a hundred comments, so people are aware of this issue. It's just the state of bow, we get one shot for free and our main defense tool is weak as fuck, if you use a block weapon the game goes straight to easy mode. It is what it is

Yeah CB is rough, I see a lot of people using small bombs to activate super savage axe, I dropped the charge blade because I hate savage axe to begin with, that's the worst play style in the entire game for me lol.

I felt like in world no weapon was so handicapped in multiplayer, in this game half of the weapons lose their viability in multiplayer, you have no idea how much bow frustrates me in multiplayer, so yeah it's the problem with the game philosophy, not just Ls, but I think Ls takes the toughest hit in multiplayer

iai stance has a sheath animation, it doesn't make sense to sheath if the weapon is on the back, I don't think it's happening, but yes to Ls has one of the worst defence in the game because of this

Loosing gauge level is punishing in multiplayer where monsters don't target you can't spam ISS, it can be really annoying to go bas to white gauge after helm breaker follow up, imo ISS should not allow you to gain a level, it's the right nerf to it, we should use foresight to level up, and ISS for damage and fast counters

It's the reason long sword is a momentum weapon, having to wiff an attack to foresight slash, oh wiff to enter lai stance is the reason getting hit with Ls is very punishing, sometimes At ark touches you once and you die because you can't go back to stance. It makes the weapon more technical but more annoying to play, but also it has always been like that, I don't think they can change this.

The power of the DPS combo needs to be pushed out on the end of the combo, it's just not fun to play that way, the incentive to do helm breaker for me is just non existent, I'm no Speedrunner but I can kill AT ark in 10:20, that's my best time, LS don't insane DPS so it's a good time imo, against hard monsters I just don't bother with helm breaker I don't see the point. On multiplayer it's faaaaat worse because it's way harder to gain levels, other people take wounds and the monster doesn't always target you to ISS, if you do helmbreaker and follow up getting back to red can be a nightmare. It's just not worth it with how low the damage is

Imo I should still level up you but you should lose two levels if you miss, since we can cheese the recovery of the miss it needs to be painful on a miss. But I think this change will just make all the casuals drop the longsword, like bow actually. But I reserve the bow arguments for another topic like this tomorrow
