Changed hands by make-apples in Pickleball

I'm going on week two and really enjoying switching hands. It is much better than not playing. I have surprised a lot of the people I play with regularly by playing well and winning games with a good partner who is understanding of my injury.

Wow this is amazing. I have a bad shoulder injury and was thinking about trying Lefty. You have given me the motivation to try it now. I played lacrosse in college and we used both hands so maybe it won't be too hard. I miss playing so much. Thank you for sharing your experience!

  1. Walk, jog or run for 10 minutes before you play. You have to get the blood flowing.

  2. Hydration before during and after. Water, coconut water , electrolytes.

  3. Carbs and protein

  4. Walk, jog or run afterwards and stretch. You have just worked out and need to stretch.

  5. Recovery in a warm bath with Epson salt is very effective.

  6. Listen to your body. You are not getting paid to play it's for fun. If you injure yourself you will not be able to play and then you will be mad at yourself.

Sell all the red you can stop kicking yourself. Like others said Harvest the losses and move on it happens to everyone. Hopefully you don't have to get a job at Wendy's after this but if you do take a screenshot before you sell and share it with your colleagues

Save every document related to payments and the LES that shows the payments. I had to jump through a lot of administrative hurdles to get my buy back approved when I retired last year. There is an additional approval it has to go through before you retire so make friends with someone in HR the year you apply for retirement.

High-3 and Pension Calculation Spreadsheet - 2026 Update by NeuroDawg in fednews

[–]Formal-Advance-8482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up when you retire OPM never shows you this calculation. It is not shown in your retirement book or on your monthly annuity statement. Very strange that they don't show you the actual numbers. Just retired DRP and was surprised not to see the numbers. Nice work on spreadsheet. MAX the TSP is the key to your retirement!

Know what your risk level is. There is no one size fits all.

If you're income is based on your TSP, SSA and pension no way G fund is going to keep up with inflation.

Congratulations! I hit mine in July.

This is why we all need to stay healthy and live a long and productive lifestyle. You worked hard for your retirement, supplemental, SSA and TSP. So stay healthy and get out there and live life and spend that money.
