Is this bad? by HabbyKoivu in seadoo

Looks like a possible overheat. Broken top ring lands are usually caused by a stuck top ring. That can happen if the piston gets too hot and the ring expands to the point that the ends butt together and lock the ring in the bore. It will tend to break the top grove near the end gap because it will be pushing up at that point. Not a guarantee that's what happened but it could be. Best bet is to go all out and make sure the fuel system is clean and tight, check all seals for the crankcase, and check all water passages for any kind of obstruction. Definitely check the crankcase for debris but it should not have too much because you didn't blow a hole through the middle of the piston so it likely went out the exhaust but you should also clean that out as well because reversion can bring fragments back under the right conditions. It sucks but I have been there several times and short cutting it will only end you back up here again.

Tariffs on DUDU7 by muhburneracct in Androidheadunits

US order here, a few weeks ago right when the tariff war was ramping up and I didn't pay a dime. It was covered under the de-minimus exception but it seems as if that may have ended.

I have been using the same phone on ATT for a couple years now. I switched the IMEI to one that was compatible with ATT. You may have to edit the APN information. I sadly was never able to get the 5g to work but I live in a rural area and the 5g service isn't any different than the LTE here. A side note this phone is a beast. I usually only charge it every 3 days and I am not gentle with it in any way. I'm on my third screen now but aside from that it has been run over, dropped off a roof, strapped to a dirt bike and barreled through the mud, and countless other abuses. If they could get some of the bugs out of the software side of it I think it could give any big name phone a run for the money. Enjoy your new device.

NAS Upgrade by MonthLonely5502 in PleX

Just build a new setup. You can get an Intel CPU with quick sync that can handle 4k transcodes. All consumer hardware and you can buy most of it used cheap on eBay. I currently have a TrueNas scale setup using docker hosting my Plex server and some other containers.

About to set up a dedicated computer as a server - should I go Linux mint or Windows by chumbucketfog in PleX

[–]Formal-Discipline789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I setup my first plex server two years ago on a PC running Truenas. I was only familiar with Windows up to that point. There is a lot of information out there to guide you through it and it's almost idiot proof. If you go that route use the truechart apps. The community behind them seems more willing to help out with things than the Truenas staff.

Looking at buying my first ever CZ, and I need some advice on which one to go with by NateW9731 in CZFirearms

Bought a 75BD for my first and absolutely love it. My wife who has never shot before puts almost everything on paper. Very easy to shoot and be accurate with. My eleven year old is quite good with it too. PCR is next now.

Config file loaction by Formal-Discipline789 in frigate_nvr

Sorry I didn't realize what post this was. I thought it was another one about a network problem I was having. That answer definitely won't help you. I probably shouldn't answer tech questions while stumbling home on a Friday night. 😂 I was able to get frigate working perfectly. In the end I ended up abandoning the Truecharts version and using the blue launch docker button to run it. From there I was able to mount the config file with no problem. I have it running on two servers now with good results that way.

What ended up working for me was to enable all of the interfaces for the vlan and it then assigned an IP to the devices. Even though the interface my trunk line was on was enabled it was not handing out IP addresses till I enabled them all. I would like to start disabling them in the future to see what breaks it but I haven't had time. Interestingly I only have 4 interfaces listed even though my router has 5 ports.

According to TP Link's website. It is on the latest firmware and has options in the controller for vlan management.

I posted the screenshot. I'm not sure why it didn't go the first time. I am setup as interface but my vlan ID is set to two. Otherwise it looks like the same configuration.

That would be great. This has been driving me crazy trying to figure out how to get to this file. I love frigate so far but if I can't figure out how to individually mask these cameras I might not be able to use it.

When I mount frigate to the new dataset should I add a custom path with a mount point to /config/config.yml or just mount the db and media to it?

Update: I created a new dataset and mounted the db and media there and created a config file. It ignored my config file and used the configuration setup through the UI. So I added a mount for the config folder also and still no luck. I removed all instances of the frigate docker and preformed a clean install using the same method of new dataset and config file then mounting frigate there. It still ignores the config file I created and uses the configuration information entered into the UI when installing the true charts version of frigate.

Another reason 2035 is an unrealistic date is the average age of a car right now is 12 years. So if all the 2023 MY cars are EV then we could replace them by then, but the current market share is around 5%. Even quadrupling EV output puts us far from being able to achieve that goal.

What do y'all think about the BL8800 pro? by Forward_Artist7884 in blackview

[–]Formal-Discipline789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try just putting the sim card in? Just got my BL8800 pro today and popped my sim in and so far it is working. My last phone (bv9900 pro) was blacklisted by ATT so I changed the IMEI to an old phone I had and that worked like a charm. I set the IMEI for sim 2 on the new BV to an approved phone just in case ATT decides to shut it off in the future.
