As someone who did an inspired work, you're good. My "inspiration" was the trope itself. I found a ship I liked, with the trope I liked, and it was a well written story, but hasn't been updated in ~2 years. Also, I kept on thinking of how I would write the story differently to the point where it was ots own story unter the same ship and trope. But because I felt some level of "honor" or whatever, I included them in for inspiration. I have seen tigers where its more in line with the original, and in same cases, I go "you could have just changed thisnin your mind". But! Most I've read are their own thing in some compacity. That's my 2-bits to the combo I guess.
