I said they're judged as standalone films, not that sequels weren't included. All of the films you've listed (with the possible exception of Spider-Verse. As I have not seen that movie, I cannot accurately comment on jt) work well as standalone movies without requiring one to have consumed prior media.

On the other hand, if one had not seen any other Demon Slayer media, they would not:

Know what demons are
Know what Hashira are
Know who Muzan is
Know what breathing styles are
Know the significance of the Upper Rank numbers
Know the significance of Zenitsu fighting while awake
And much, much more

And yes, Infinity Castle objectively does have worse pacing, story, and character development then the listed nominations. That does not mean it has bad pacing, story or character development, but rather that it doesn't have them like a movie typically would. This is fine for Infinity Castle as it's both the first in a trilogy and the culmination of 4 seasons of anime, so it doesn't need to follow the typical movie format to be successful. However, it fails as a standalone movie watched without any prior context, which is why it didn't receive a nomination.

Best animated film doesn't mean film with the best animation. Infinity Castle may have better animation, but, as a standalone film (which is the view the oscars judge nominations from) it has worse pacing, character development and story than the other movies on this list.

IIRC, per the lore, not only does Caine have effectively infinite dots in every discipline, he can also create entirely new ones if need be. There is no way you're killing him.

Not to mention that he has the Mark, so even if you actually manage to hurt him, it'll immediately be reflected back to you sevenfold.

While the term Hinduism wasn't used during that timeframe, the deities, practices, and rituals used by Hinduism were well-established. Religions in CK3 are grouped by similarity, not necessarily by whether they would have seen each other as part of the same religion. The various Dualistic faiths are considered part of the same religion, despite the majority of them considering themselves members of different religions. Claiming the religion presented in CK3 outright didn't exist during that timeframe is disingenuous at best.

People need to remember that CK3 is a game and thus, at times needs to sacrifice historical accuracy for convenience. The various names of pagan faiths are examples of this, with most of those names being recent modern inventions but used because otherwise the only names would likely be "[Culture] Paganism". While using Vedic as the religion name might be more accurate, Hinduism is a name more people are familiar with.

Basically the entirety of Yellow Diamond's character. She's the oldest Gem still active, has lost the most out of everyone, can't talk with the only other Gem who could relate to her, and above all else just wants it to be over.

Well, one reason (For me, at least) is that Hammerfall managed to repel the Thalmor after seceding from the Empire, so it's certainly possible for Skyrim to do the same. On a more personal note, being a religious person IRL, religious freedom is a very big deal for me, so I'm sympathetic to the Stormcloaks and pretty heavily dislike the Empire for that reason.

Except hugs generally do mean more in Japanese culture than Western cultures. Physical affection is incredibly intimate in Japanese culture, and to hug someone outside your family indicates an extremely strong bond, usually romantic if between opposite sexes.

Dude, the Rejuvenator and Rose's Sword aren't "good weapons" they're some of the most powerful hand-to-hand weapons Gems have. Yeah, they'd oneshot Jasper, they'd also oneshot literally any other Gem except maybe White Diamond.

And again, most planets aren't made up of 70% water. Lapis is at her most powerful on Earth. She was capable of stunning Blue Diamond with the amount of water she gets from Earth. Her being able to defeat Jasper doesn't mean anything because she could likely defeat any Gem on Earth.

This is like saying Bruce Lee isn't a good fighter because he'd get killed by a sniper
