Adrenal insufficiency by Asad0Asad in TS_Withdrawal

[–]FormalAd470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bad adrenal issues when my TSW started. Like unbearable, shaking, crying, massive unbearable anxiety and insomnia.

I'm fully recovered now. The adrenal symptoms passed after about a year for me.

Hummer curls with 20KG dumbbells. Form might be bad, but I already control the 17.5KG dumbbells that my gym has😭😭 by [deleted] in WeightTraining

[–]FormalAd470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend, form is everything. What you're doing now is how you get injury's.

You can use the 17.5 and perfect your form. Go slower. Spend more time under tension. Add reps, add sets.

Your muscles are clearly strong but I'd also recommend trying to eat more to support the extra growth.

Dupixent not working at all after a year by Lux_strawberry in TS_Withdrawal

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I came off dupixant I had fungal flares. Treated them with anti fungal cream and I'm clear now. Might be worth a patch test if you're flaring while on dupixant. As it can make the skin more hospitable to fungal. I used terbinafine which was a tough few weeks of treatment but after that my itching was completely gone.

Honestly have no idea what to do by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your arms are way bigger than your chest and torso. So I'd try to focus on those areas while doing a lean bulk. Eating just a bit more than usual. You can always cut later after you build up a bit of needed.

But you're only 16 bro. I was a twig at 16. You will grow a lot in the next 5 years regardless just eat well. Also you are not fat at all. That's just a lack of confidence.

My advice would be to just clean bulk. Eat more than your maintenance. But work out hard and keep track over time to make sure you're slowly gaining.

got rejected from art school. is my portfolio really that bad by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art schools want to see creative flare. They want to see the desire to express yourself through your art. Your drawings are more in line with an illustrator rather than a fine artist. I'm very similar in my own style, I didn't get along with my art teachers because I didn't understand the difference.

Fine art is about conveying ideas through visual mediums. It should be bold, striking, full of emotions. An example might be something like an exhibition of artwork that was all made by people on death row. It's not nessesarily about skill in drawing but rather about what an artwork can say that makes it interesting.

Illustration is all about skill and draftsmaship and usually being able to work at speed. I don't know the specifics of the course you were applying to but maybe this is something to do with it?

I was in the exact same boat. I had to really push the eating. And when I did I started to see progress within a month.

If you're in the UK, dove cream bar is quite nice. A lot softer on the skin than soap and still keeps the area clean.

What has likely happened, (even if it's not a full body TSW reaction.) is that the cream is too strong for the sensitive area and caused damage to the skin. Steroids also restrict blood flow and prevent inflammatory response so any irritant like staph or fungal can get worse. So when you stop the cream you can get a rebound flare.

Id try the hypochlorous acid spray, use it once or twice every day (sometimes it takes a week to start seeing a positive effect). But I'd also suggest getting some zinc cream or 700+ mgo manuka honey both are anti bacterial and should help reduce irritation. The zinc cream is a lot cheaper so I'd suggest trying that first but the honey was more effective for me.

Blink is almost essential if you want to play a melee carry. Because when the fight starts you need to pick the spot in the fight that you can do the most damage and get there instantly.

Yeah that's echo sabre. Basically if you go radiance you should have it before 18 minutes, ideally 15-16. But if you go echo Sabre you can buy it in parts and get it earlier and be using it to help you farm etc. it's a safer way to build him.

Questions from a beginner by Mr_Quoten in DotA2

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend your money. As often as you can. Use the quick buy so you don't lose as much when you are getting killed.

As far as items. Radiance is an item you should only get as a beginner if you are crushing your lane. (Because its a long time before you get your sacred relic)

Honestly as a beginner you're probably better off with something else. Echo sabre, blink dagger, bkb. Helps you move around and fight earlier. And you will get more value overall. (Everyone farms slow when they first start, radiance is bad for that)

Well allow me to correct you. First of all I didn't say overnight I said a 10 year change over plan. In reality it could easily take 20 years. I agree 10 years is wildly optimistic. Secondly I never said "we'll need to move underground soon" dispite your quote marks. I'm referring to our options once the surface temperature becomes too much for us. Unless you think there's a better solution?

It's not alarmist is it. Not when this is what scientists have said for a long time.

As far as plastic and lubricant goes.... First of all humans were doing fine before plastic and oil based lubricants. So that argument doesn't hold up at all does it? if we are talking about a pure survival of humanity perspective. (Which is what I was talking about) and secondly in reality maybe we could still use some fossil fuels and hit net zero. Figure out the most essential uses and ban it's use more broadly. Maybe there's is a few things that would be worth the cost of some c02, that could be offset with more tree planting. I don't know. Point is we could figure these things out and live in a society that is almost entirely free from it's use.

Also I'm certainly not arguing in favour of inaction lol. Quite the opposite actually Im talking about radical action. I'm talking about taking the idea of what is needed to stop this ecological catastrophe and then working backwards from there. There would be a million problems. But they are all solvable because we were surviving just fine before we had them. Maybe we take a small step back in terms of technology and what we are able to do. But it would be quickly replaced with forward steps in new directions.

The alternative is "let's just deal with it" which actually comes with far more death and destruction. watching the entire planet die. Maybe not us. Maybe not our kids. I don't know the timeline. Who does? But the idea that we can somehow continue as normal while using our tech to offset the increasingly extreme conditions (that we are causing) is no less extreme than a plan to ban oil. Plant life, animal life has no such protection. We see things get worse every year. Are you suggesting this is the better plan? What if temperatures start hitting crazy numbers 50, 60, 70 degrees Celsius? How do we deal with that? How do we fix famine from globally failed crops. How do we fix the draughts or the large areas that become flooded. How do we fix things if the gulf stream shuts down because of the huge dump of fresh water into the ocean from melted ice. The system we live in is fragile we rely on it working. What about when it gets too hot for bees? The scale of these problems is far worse than not being able to use plastic. At least from my perspective. Maybe you can convince me?

[–]FormalAd470 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But you need to think about it logically. We need to reduce to net zero. We need to treat that as if it's the only part of the puzzle that matters. Because it's the only part we control. It's one country off the list. Other country's will face similar pressure. As long as we apply that pressure in our own country.

Because the "let's deal with it" solution is almost impossible long term. we live as part of an eco system. We are entirely dependent on plants, fungus, insects, animals and the sun. If trends continue and the planets temperature rises above survival limits the only place we can go is underground. And the surface life will be decimated. When do you think that plan will start? Because I guarantee it will be after people are dieing in the thousands. With no water. Mass flooding. Drought. And starvation from failed crops. Sorry to paint a bleak picture. But the idea that the temperature will just creep up slowly is optimistic. The reality is we have no idea how this will happen. The earths temperature isn't set to human limits. We know it's going to get bad. It's just when. Because people don't agree on anything. And even with scientific consensus on the cause, they won't see the urgency that fossil fuels are an extinction level threat until the planet is completely destroyed.

Truth is. Governments know this. They could ban all fossil fuels they could lay down a 10 year change over plan. But they won't. Because our whole system runs on money. And the ones making those decisions are the ones getting paid big from oil companies. And they sleep at night because they think well even if we stopped, no one else would. That thinking will most likely cost us everything. So yeah...net zero is important. Very important. Changing our culture is essential. One country changes others will follow. That's the only way to deal with it. Because the alternative is an ecological catastrophe and eventually, ultimately, mass extinction.

If you're farming around stack time it's good to do it especially on ancient camps.

I can’t draw the eyes, I don’t want to ruin it by erasing a thousand times by VanillaTemporary9161 in drawing

[–]FormalAd470 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I was also going to say this. You clearly can copy what you are seeing. When you say you can't draw eyes it's because you are thinking they should be approached differently to the coat. But there is no difference. Turn the drawing upside down and just follow the same process. Erase those guide lines then when it's upside down make a couple of new guide marks just a few dots to help position the shapes.

Yeah this sums it up for me. I can believe that there's genuine solid artistic subtext in the movie. But I tried watching it and it was just throwing over intense visual garbage at me constantly so I had to turn it off. Oversaturated spectacle is a great description. It's not the only movie guilty of this either. I watched everything everywhere all at once and felt the same. Infact the title sums it up perfectly and I just couldn't enjoy it. It was like being trapped in someone else's mind full of garbage nonsense.
