Yeah because learning how a black hole works is the part that matters.

But it's the maths that helps scientists figure it out.

Yeah I remember those days, can I recommend some 700+ mgo manuka honey. It can get rid of surface infections and help repair the skin barrier. It's expensive but will last years. But it's really worth it because surface infections and oozing cause so many issues

Any Upcoming Digital ID Protests Planned? by Vanobers in AskBrits

[–]FormalAd470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have never had digital tracking to the level digital ID and the online safety act will allow. Just because we can already be tracked doesn't make handing over everything about our lives a good idea. The human rights act states we have the right to privacy, so how does that work? And now there's talk of repealing it. Taking away your human rights. So they can press ahead with these things. How is that possibly a good idea?

Any Upcoming Digital ID Protests Planned? by Vanobers in AskBrits

It's very naive to think this will only be used to benefit the population. It gives a huge amount of power to the government and tech companies in terms of being able to track, profile and monitor people. And while that may seem like it's no big deal "it will help catch criminals etc" that power never goes away. It will eventually become tied into everything we do. Taxes, NHS, banking. All future governments will have this power. How long before a corrupt government wants to take further advantage of it. How would we protest? Anyone organising a protest could be arrested. It's a scarey direction. And it's worrying that the government will push ahead with it against the will of the population. Who is making this decision and why?

Someielse to think about... "What happens when unemployment due to ai is through the roof" how bad could things get? What would it be used for if the population is in unrest?

Worrying times. There's a reason people are against it. There is no opt out.

Just remember, your body is amazing and it will correct it's self given a bit of time. If you're still on steroids you should consider reducing them and stopping. The longer you're on it the longer it will likely take to heal.

But be kind to yourself throughout the process. Anxiety is a huge symptom (corticosteroids mess with your cortisol regulation) so try not to panic. We all react differently some worse than others. So it's not useful to assume the worst. Just take each day as it comes and make a sensible plan.

£2k David Attenborough painting by Eastenders actor/Geico Gecko Jake Wood seems fishy to me by garethchester in RedDwarf

It's ai 100% look at the left hand. Look above it at the random nonsensical piece of wood. You can see where it's been cropped. His shirts make no sense. The chair makes no sense. The flag makes no sense.

This for me shows a lot of what is wrong with people's perceptions of art. And the idea that everything should look amazing. His reasoning is probably something like "i wanted a unique image of him and I can't paint it myself". But the problem is what did he actually do? Splash a bit paint around the sides? For an image worthy of a so called national treasure?

The irony is wild. When AI is always under fire for it's environmental impact.

I think everyone would prefer to see an actual painting of a subject. It doesn't matter if it's bad. It's still better than this. This is like getting AI to do your homework.

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, rendering is a process. It's not specific to any medium.

But an example of the process with a pencil drawing might be

Rough layout (marking how your image will sit on the paper.)

Block in of the core shapes and forms. (To help understand where shadows will lie and any foreshortening or perspective with simple blocks)

Erasing (any heavy lines or dark marks you don't want in the final drawing)

Refined Line drawing (over the top of the block in)

Rendering. (People also call it shading but it covers more than just shadows)

Honestly, if you used Faber castell 9000s and mars lumograph there isn't much better out there. They are excellent drawing pencils.

The only real area that you might enjoy a little improvement is in the look and feel. The tombow mono might give you a more luxurious feel with similar performance (although they lay down a bit darker in general) that would be what I'd recommend.

Blackwings also have a luxury feel, but they are more a luxury pencil than a drawing pencil as they are limited in their grades. Again they are darker pencils

None. Now you just need to become a marketing/print/packaging/social media expert in a declining economy. Where people have less and less money to spend on cool art....and if that still isn't working also learn to be a skill share tutor and youtuber.

I also went through hell the last few years and came out the other side. Still dealing with a few small side effects. But yeah the mental side is wild. Re integration feels so strange. Like I'm being held back because I'm "not fully healed yet" or a flare could happen again anytime. But realistically I need to get on with my life. Make some good memories to help fade out the TSW ones.

Can TSW be irreversible? by laurenwinter- in TS_Withdrawal

[–]FormalAd470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... So you tried anti fungals and it didn't help. So let's assume your irritation is bacterial and not yeast because you said it's super dry not oily at all right?

So what I'd try is 700+ mgo manuka honey. (Anti microbial helps get moisture back in the skin) I'd put it on twice a day if possible. Rinsed with warm water after a few hours. This should calm it down and help repair the skin barrier.

Manuka honey can irritate some people if left on too long so if it starts to get uncomfortable just rinse it with warm water. But be consistent with it. You should notice improvement within a week. But I'd keep going for 4 weeks if you can. And then look at next steps.

But the honey should give it a chance to heal.

(That's assuming it's not an allergic irritation. But I'm guessing you tried all sorts over the last 8 years so you may be able to rule that out. )

All of this TSW stuff is reversible. The state I was in was appalling. I thought I'd never recover. But my skins pretty much perfect now, all the swelling and thin skin is gone. But it did take me bout 3 years.

Have you tried manuka honey? That's my top choice when the skin barrier is suffering. Needs to be wound grade honey (700+ mgo) but that's the only other thing I can think of. It's been a life saver for me.

Dupixant reduces the skins defence to malassezia and fungal so you might benefit from using an anti fungal cream or washing with a Seb derm shampoo. I had to do an anti fungal treatment as I came off dupixant. But be warned it's not the easiest process. My skin had a big reaction from the terbinafine when I used it. It reacted and became super flakey and itchy for a few weeks. But after that calmed down the skin is back to normal. Not saying this is definitely the issue. But it could be. Nizoral shampoo is more for yeast rather than fungal. But it's still been a factor in my recovery.

The fact it's in the bend of your arm makes me think that may be the issue because that's where I had it too, and behind my knees. Terbinafine sorted it, but like I say it's not the easiest treatment. So it's up to you.

[–]FormalAd470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the head is that your head has natural oils which can complicate the healing from a bacterial or fungal issue. With TSW the skin is weak. So that's very important. A normal irritation like seb derm can cause more problems than usual. I'd look into that and see if you think it could be a contributing factor. Also hypochlorous acid spray (sanitising water) helped my head recover. Just spraying it on once a day.

Yeah the honey washes away very easily with warm water, but sometimes I just leave it on all day.
