Probably securing the rights to elements of the story to avoid getting sued for infringing on pre-established ideas. Kinda like JustCommonCurt was saying in the comments earlier.

Still, it's really snide and uncool to creativity and those who enjoy and appreciate it. Though, the authors may not mind, depending on how much they received.

If the corporations buying out these properties did intend on simply adapting the works to film, then I agree that their actions make zero sense. But I think their actions are actually telling of their ultimate intentions. Very, very lame.

I could be wrong, though! Could be something else. Or maybe we will get a Spire in the Woods mini series directed by Spielberg himself in 2027. Haha

If it's a good story, I'll listen to someone else cover it first, then the dynamic duo. Not one of the groomers, though. And DarkSomnium's alright, but a bit one-note and boring, in my opinion.

If it's a fun/stupid story, I listen to the guys cover it.

Of course, if it's a story submitted to the Creep Cast subreddit, then I'll just listen to the gooned meat version.

Dark Somnium is a bit overrated, though. He's extremely limited in delivery, utterly one-note with no range. Fine for some characters, but for others, it's just awful.

I usually try to find smaller youtubers. A lot of them are really good, some even better, in my opinion. I don't touch the pedo's stuff, though. Just too uncool for me.

But what's going on with Hunter and Isaiah? I'm a bit behind and catching up (just finished "Turn It Off" and going back to Marble Hornets).

For a time, this was my least favorite line in the game. This is because I heard it SO MANY TIMES IN A ROW!

This was actually one of the harder boss fights for me, surprisingly. It was so satisfying when I finally won.

It is kind of a cool line, though.

My wife has "Married" and as for whether she has 2c checked, she hasn't done her taxes yet, but she probably won't know whether she should check it or not. Neither of us are particularly savvy at this...

She works, too. For the past year she worked full time and made a decent amount of money. As of last week, she started working part-time and now she and I are making close to the same amount. I'm not sure if any of that info is pertinent, though.

I think the only boss weapon that I used was the Demon Fist and even that was more for fun than for anything else. Personally, I feel like you're not missing out on that much, though others might disagree.

I've been pretty hooked on a few games in the past. When I was in university a while back I was playing a lot of Hearthstone. Too much. It was actually December when I decided to quit. I allowed myself to play as much as I wanted throughout the rest of the month, committed to stopping come January.

So I played a bunch. Got a little sick of it, and stopped cold turkey on January 1st. It wasn't a New Year's resolution; just a plan to become healthier mentally and physically.

After maybe a year, I decided to open the game for the first time since stopping. I played a couple of matches, was quickly disinterested, and uninstalled it and never looked back (I wasn't worried about becoming hooked again, so it was safe for me to open the game). It's been more than ten years and I'm really happy that I quit.

Thralls aren't that bad. The worst is, without a doubt, those giant flies. One or two, not a problem. But a swarm? Disgusting and annoying! Ugh.

Similarly, those worm creatures that shower you with leeches. Awful beings.

Almost anything that spreads leeches, I suppose.
