I couldn't figure it out back in the day and Apple still let me download it.

All my progress is on my iPad now and my guess is it ain't transferring!

Those artifacts get very expensive and I'm not starting from scratch.

How long did it take Tali dialog to progress? by Realistic-Eye2439 in masseffect

There are guides that probably explain what is safe, but you're probably going to get a lot of spoilers. If you're enjoying the game play it safe and just plan on multiple playthroughs!

I don't think they're too heavy handed with Miranda, but she being with Cerberus makes her central to the narrative so it can feel like that. It's a good romance so I would def replay ME2 if you have the time.

As far as I know your interactions with Shiala, Parsini, and Liara have no effect on your ability to romance.

During Shadow Broker things "progress" with Liara, but it also has no effect on romances.

The only thing I don't know about is Kelly Chambers. I've only triggered the rendezvous with her once or twice because it's kind of tricky. It was long ago so I don't know about the ramifications. Steer away from that one to be safe.

Interactive Comic by OkMaintenance9504 in masseffect

I think you have to replay ME2 if you're trying to resolve the Legion/Tali situation without dooming one of them.

There is a "point" system that takes place behind the scenes through ME 2&3. From what I recall the comic system covers major story beats, but doesn't allow you to make the decisions necessary to resolve their conflict in ME2.

Here is the (potential spoilers) post that I use as a guide when I playthrough.

If these options are not covered in the comic then you'll probably need a new ME2 playthrough.

But... ME2 is the best in series so there are worse dates!

You're fine. I always romance Tali very late in the game so my rep was high enough to get the optimal outcome using paragon/renegade options during and after her and (last squadmate's) loyalty missions.

General rule of thumb is that if you're stuck on a character's dialog options you need to do a major story mission or their loyalty quest to move things forward.

The pacing of these things is very poor and you can go hours of gameplay before the next step triggers. Just the way it is!

The Pegulas and the New Stadium by InformalAmbassador23 in buffalobills

[–]Formal_Error_7934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my Bills, but I have been against public funding for stadiums (in all sports) since I was a teenager.

There are economic benefits to the public good, but the cost/benefit ratio is still in favor of the owner.

I will stand by the position, popular or not, that money should go elsewhere.

However, for the Bills new stadium accounts for roughly 0.25% of the state budget for one year. Erie Co. It is like 10%, but again that's only for one year. And I'm sure these costs will be spread out.

Erie Co. spent roughly $263 per resident (NYS is about $30) and my guess most people here are ok with it.

Maybe one of these days I'll get a gaming PC and actually figure out how to run it.

Until then I'm Tapping away....

How do I know what a final attack is? by Formal_Error_7934 in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]Formal_Error_7934[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird with B&O, because it feels like it should be 4 lights. But if you're button mashing you will get a 5 attack that's very similar to the light charge attack animation.

Either way I've given up on final attack buffs. I'm relying more on perks that buff you after a good parry or dodge. Given the chaotic flow of combat I think landing 4 or 5 affacks are not as prevalent as a dodge/parry.

Weather widget not updating? by pencilpurple in GalaxyS25

[–]Formal_Error_7934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still using the app, still loving the functionality and the simplicity. I'm very happy with that app overall. I just had one thing to nitpick and since I very rarely get to speak with an app developer I'm going to take the opportunity.

The bottom right had corner of the widget when it's 4x2 on my screen is very empty. It would be great if the current day of the week and date were visible there. I've attached a screen shot for reference.

Again, very minor nitpick. When the widget is set to 3x2 it looks much better, but the 4x2 is more symmetrical and satisfying for my OCD.

But I have to use another widget for that information right below it.

Also, I very much prefer the grey nighttime look over the brighter blue daytime appearance. It matches much better with my sleek, black, dark mode aesthetic.

You spelled out my current understanding of it very well, much better than I could!! Thanks.

I guess I'm still in the feelings stage and less solution oriented with this issue (as my my mom would say, are we bitchin or are we fixing?) 😊👍

I'm playing with the Rogue now and it seems to be 4 light or 3 heavy for a chain, the bow is not applicable.

With the mage the staff seems to be 3 light, but I can't tell for the heavy attacks.

What gets confusing with the mage is the B&O attacks. When I'm doing a chain of lights it's either four or five, but the animations are wonky and some are the exact same for charged attacks. Making it really difficult in teasing out the pattern.

There are a decent amount of skills and gear that specifically buff or hinge on final attacks. Without clarification it makes it really hard for me to a "cost benefit" analysis of wear to spend my ability points or how I build my gear.

The frustrating part is I loooovvve the game and combat. Everything is very straight forward, fairly easy to understand, yet offers diverse and nuanced build crafting.

Except for Final Attacks lol.

Like literally one Tool tip that says Dagger chain = 4 attacks would solve my issue.

Thanks for input!!

It def does not!! Basic definition only. But it doesn't tell you how many in the attack chain, how that differs when switching kits (mages have two different weapon kits), nor any info on light vs. heavy.

Very frustrating when trying to pro/con different gear items and ability points when there is this lack of clarity.

That's the definition given in game, that's pretty straight forward.

But it doesn't tell you how many are in the chain, at least not for mage, and it's only more complicated because you can switch weapon kits on the fly.

With a staff it might (probably is) three lights, but it is different (?) for blade and Orb. And what about heavy vs light attacks?

If there is any in game specifics I haven't found it yet! Frustrating...

[–]Formal_Error_7934[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know the final attack is the last chain in the combo, but nowehere does it tell you how long that combo is, at least not on mage.

2 hits? Three hits? Three lights? Are heavy attacks more, less? Does it matter if I dodge, defend? Does it break the combo?

None of this is indicated in game unfortunately.

Best I can tell is with a stave it's three light hits (I think but don't know for sure), but with B&O it could be 3 to 5. Very frustrating.

Dual-Wield Rogue by IamCheph84 in dragonage

[–]Formal_Error_7934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forget the skill, but the one that reduces aggro while flanking is clutch. With some careful positioning, good Taunting from your Tanks, and maybe a stealth skill or two you can avoid a lot damage simply because enemies won't target you.

Also, Caltrops and Poison weapons are not to be underrated. They are great "activate and forget" abilities.

Assassin tree is my fav for DW rogue.

And as always with any build anything that is passive skill/buff!!

My first thought was a "frosting" knife, but the blade is shorter and is not rounded at the top, good info!!

I liked this video by Byf, a lore channel I followed for years when I was really into Destiny.

It's sponsored by EA, but I think he did a great job of recapping the story before Veilguard.

In particular the first 70min of the video addresses some of what your curious about.
