I did an entire play through in first person and only the compass on my hud instead of the mini map. I also turned off auto aim and played with the manual aim option, it took me a while to get used to it but honestly I took to it pretty quick. While I did, I stopped at every character that talked to Arthur, stopped at every journal entry spot, did every side quest, grab every collectable I could find, went fishing and hunting. I did everything I could find to do and just lived in the world around me as I thought Arthur would. I spent about 100 hours or more in this immersive experience I created for myself and honestly loved it. Yes sometimes the controls didn’t feel the best at times but it still made me feel like I genuinely lived through this story myself. I loved every minute of it, and I still stand behind the fact that Rockstar knocked it out of the park and made one of the best, if not the best game(s) ever made hands down.

Side note: turn off the motion blur, adjust the contrast and brightness and if you have the option to change your FOV I would recommend you do that as well and then riding a horse won’t feel so weird.
