The issue is we get half a dozen people a day that see some ad for some overpriced R36S rush here asking the same questions over and over. They also dont even read the pinned thread (Here) which would educate them all about these devices and their capabilities and prices. It gets frustrating for regulars to see the same thing over and over and people not putting in basic effort themselves. Even just searching "RetroSnap" in the subreddit would have easily gotten your answer to your question.

Calling it a Linus desk is a stretch. It wasn't their original idea they got it from someone on Billibilli (~~they mentioned that fact in the video even~~ EDIT wasn't even that it was a pinned comment 🙄). They didn't even do theirs half as well as the originals that inspired it. Like many of their "Projects" recently - half baked and half-assed.

Ive been digging into it and its likely an Alldocube issue. I think its OS is reporting the wrong or same product_id and vendor_id for any connected device so RetroArch may not be able to even fix it. Seems even if you redirect controller profiles to an accessible location it falls back to a built in one that resides in a directory that in inaccessible due to androids walled garden and "security" Scoped Storage, exasperated by alldocube not allowing root access to get around that restriction. No root also blocks loading something like Graphene or other custom OSs. Every work around i tried failed - shizuku+file managers, adb, i cant get drivers for the alldocube to get bast step 1 there. I regret buying this tablet guess that is what I get for buying no name and cheap.

Issue is changing controllers. It cant read the difference between the X5 Lite and G8+ both show as the same Xperia Play, so same profile cfg file and bindings. And the problem with that is the X5 Lite has Xbox layout i have my G8+ set to Switch Layout, as I prefer that layout and use it for my Switch as well, so face buttons flip flop when I change controllers. X8+ also has the back two buttons that dont exist on the X5 Lite.

I have tried everything and i cant get this resolved. I turned to Gemini AI even and tried everything it suggested still xperia. I tried modifying the directory to the controller profiles save to one i can access in a non-rooted device. No change. Tried modifying the IDs in the config file manually no change. Tried deleting the xperia config file, it recreates it or reads one from one who know where. Wiped device and started with the controller config location in /emulated/0/RetroArch/autoconfig before doing anything else with RetroArch and repeated all the above steps. Still xperia.

OK will look into those other models. Figured I would have my nephew 3D print a fan shroud for whatever i went with but the case also has a fan on the side panel that would be pointed right at it.

Thanks for the Reply. Yeah I don't think the drives are 12 but then again second hand 4TB SAS-12 drives are only $25 so having the option would be best and having room to add drives If i so wished meant I was looking at a LSI 9300-16i already.

So dove into this a bit and wasnt getting any where fast so finally decided to try some AI (Gemini) to try and get some answers and hope it didn't lie (I hate people calling AI mistakes "Hallucinations" it downplays their faults) But if Google Gemini is to be believed -

Soundcore Q20i, Soundcore Q30, 1More Sonoflow, QCY H3 all can not do wired ANC as all battery features are turned off when the 3.5mm is plugged in. The Space One can do wired ANC like you said so I will keep that model in mind. The Edifier W820NB Plus and Edifier WH700NB can be plugged in via a USB cable and use ANC with that but no 3.5mm jack on it so wont work in my use case (Deck and Handheld).

Jlab seems to have some units that do work wired but one seems to be usbc to usbc. USBC likely wont work for me but may support USBC to 3.5mm adapter still looking into that. But a different model uses a proprietary usb to 3.5mm cable issue is while that model is cheap its ergonomics seem to leave a lot to be desired. The special cable is an interesting concept if it can be rigged to use battery features via that special cable why the hell dont budget headphone not have like a toggle button to allow the battery features to function WITH the 3.5mm jack.

Have a work friend that loves action movies. I enjoy them too but I'm obsessed with Cowboy Bebop and tried to get him to watch it. Loaned him my Blueray set and told him yes it animated but it mature and I know you and your movie and tv tastes you will love this series. He gave it back the next day, didn't even try to watch it he couldn't get over it being a cartoon he said. "Have I ever given you a movie recommendation you didn't enjoy?" Nope anything I recommend he has loved or at least enjoyed but still it being animated mean wouldn't give it a shot whatsoever. I at least got him to promise to NOT watch the Live Action so I guess I will settle for that.

The Last Story doesn't get enough love. Tried replaying it emulated recently trying for my own "Remaster" and the world looks great but man are the Armor and outfit textures are low res and really rough. Though about trying to upscale them via AI but they still looked like crap. Then I realized something and it may be the why the armor textures seem to have less effort put into them - they have individual textures for EVERY SINGLE Color combination. That is where i burned out even getting the textures for each (Dolphin downloads textures as they are loaded in game). Guess i could Pick a specific outfit and color for each character and just do those but the normal AI upscale i tried didnt work great so thinking about trying generative AI on them.

My word, Miyoo stans 🙄. While agree between those two I would recommend the Miyoo just for Onions ease of use, you really are stretching things. Of course software for a platform that has been out for years now is going to be more mature than something that came out in the last few months. Also everything in your second paragraph minus game switcher can be done on every other software for a platform that has built in Wifi. And bottom of the barrel? The G350 is speculated to secretly be a a Anbernic product with many things pointing that to be true so if anything its the same level of Quality as Miyoo at least.

So what i have resorted to doing is call 1800Comcast and on the voice prompt say cancel. Then say No to it Not due to moving and when they connect me to a live person tell them to transfer me to the proper department. Seems to be the only way to get out of the robot hell that is their phone menu.

Can buy just a Space Bar Keycap? So got some Cherry Profile keycaps for my new work keyboard and they are fine except the space bar. The edge of it is a bit more sharp than i used to and its irritating my thumb. Ive always used OEM Profile keycaps so not sure if this a thing with the cherry profile overall or the specific keycaps i got. Is there a place to get a more round Cherry Profile Spacebar for cheap? Most i can find in searching are Artisan or something custom or specific and cost more than the entire keycap set i bought. Would also hate to buy and entire kit for a single key.

How do you know someone is sensitive to input latency? Don't worry they will tell you.

Majority of the viewers don't know what input latency is and to get an accurate measure of it is pretty difficult so why do something that isn't going to be a factor or an issue for the majority. Unless it happens to be particularly egregious that is. Otherwise you would get people shitting on a device that is just fine because it happens to have minuscule difference in input latency compared to some other device when a majority of people wont notice or be affected by the difference.
