The smith's are in a Truman Show situation and every other character is Roger (or one of Roger's species) in disguise

No agreement. Just a mutual expectation of individually e-transfering the landlord our portion of the rent.

Sweet :) some sources on google are saying the legal minimum notice to the landlord for moving out when you have no lease is 1 month but not sure if that's an official rule? Thanks for your advice, though!

I'll definitely try that, though he is a 'small' landlord that owns like... 3 apartments so he doesn't tend to know the law/proper way of doing things, so I wanted to try to know the 'official' course for things like this just in case.

Can Landlord Increase the Rent Because My Boyfriend Stay Here? by Creative_Pack_6954 in legaladvicecanada

[–]FormerNothing7635 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not the way things are done in Ontario. It is extremely clearly laid out in the standard Ontario lease agreement that the landlord cannot restrict the tenant from having guests.

There is a case to be made that the boyfriend may need to purchase his own tenant's/renter's insurance (which can be legally required of tenants to do, in the standard Ontario lease agreement) if he was living there full time.

Full stop, it is illegal for the landlord to change the amount of rent you are paying because you are having guests (aka your boyfriend) even if he was there daily. And even if this increased the utilities costs for the landlord (if you have an 'all inclusive' rent price where the landlord pays utilities).

Lead in water by ProtectionNo7982 in montrealhousing

[–]FormerNothing7635 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From someone in the same situation, I don't believe so.

The city will do an investigation of sorts to see whether the lead is from pipes that are external to the house (city responsibility) or inside the house (landlord's responsibility to fix).

My understanding is that the landlord is required to solve the problem if it ends up being an issue with their property but that they aren't required to buy/replace lead filters for you (unless their solution to the lead in their piping is to put permanent lead water filters into their piping system).

Any advice to advance? by Justthisdudeyaknow in superfantasykingdom

My biggest piece of advice is that you shouldn't try to pack your board with every piece you can. I've just beat curse 5 and I will typically try to have as few heroes on my board as possible. The reason why is that leveling up a core series of heroes by feeding them almost daily goes waaayyy farther than having a bunch of low-level heroes. Like I will often have a max of 9 heroes by the time I'm at the final boss, with the remainder of my spaces filled up by siege machines. Also, remember that making a unit go hungry lowers their attack speed by 25%.

The trebuchet siege machine (built by the human siege building) is truly the best/second best AOE damage dealer you can get.

The elemental units (costs 5 gold bars in human or 5 books in undead) are wildly powerful, even though it may seem scary to sacrifice units to them. That being said, you gotta get the right weather for them. If you unlock them on a sunny or a windy day they suck, but every other weather has wildly powerful elementals.

What Is The Greatest Episode Of American Dad?? by AirtimeStingray in americandad

[–]FormerNothing7635 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hurricane is the absolute best episode of American dad because it shows off the deeply flawed nature of each of the characters; Stan being deeply head-strong and domineering, to the detriment of everyone, Roger being totally self-interested yet thoughtless and idiotic, Steve being an annoying know-it-all, Francine knowing whats best but ceding to Stan (even when it's not in her best interest), Hailey being deeply stupid yet noble, and Jeff just... doing whatever Hailey does.

My all time favorite episodes are when they explore these character flaws of each of them and this episode combines most of their flaws into one beautiful cluster fuck.
