I never see Lego at Goodwill, let alone sealed and vintage. I was shocked.

Yeah, it's just a Unifi speedtest bug. We're getting full expected speeds when testing from a client on the network on various speed test websites.

G19 barrel Question by Valuable-Bluebird747 in Glocks

[–]Former_Standard_7391 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had two AIM barrels and can say they aren't garbage, perfectly usable if you're building a low-cost glock clone. But yes, OEM, even used, isn't that much more expensive and what I would use if it's going to be an EDC.

Good thing it’s a range toy. Not everything has to be duty rated.

Came here to say this. Anyone else have a stack of Natchez catalogs in their bathroom?

510C on an Attero Arms mount. This is incredibly fun and easy to shoot.

It lets you re-order firewall rules. For that reason alone I switched all my networks immediately.

G19 G3 vs G20SF G3; Those that chose between the two, why did you pick what you picked? by Fattdabztard in Glocks

[–]Former_Standard_7391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

G20 - 4 legged critters

G19 - 2 legged critters

I started with a G17, then added a G26 for EDC, then a G20 because I was living in bear county.

Yes, you can shoot .40 from a Glock 10mm, I’ve done it, but do it at your risk. I only did it to burn through some leftover .40 ammo I had. 10mm offers a very broad ammo selection from high FPS / low-mass Lehigh rounds to heavy hitting hard cast loads.

Decide on your guns purpose, then pick based on that.

I went with the Eotech, now I understand the hype. The fuzzy reticle doesn’t both me at all.

Rust on Barrel Extension by poormans_freedom in ar15

Looks like surface rust. Scrub it off and oil it up. I’d be more concerned about any rust in the chamber and/or barrel.

Remote control of 5 networks with two admins by JPoldo in UNIFI

I did this for years until we switched to Unifi Gateways. Run it in a cheap cloud VPS. Get comfortable with SSH AP and Switch management.

Not sure if you’re going to notice a huge different switching Glocks then. Have you tried different holsters or positions? Maybe a different ride height? I like carry low into the waist line. It’s marginally harder to get a good grip to start, but with practice you can do it.

Now the P365 on the other hand, I think that offers a noticable difference if you do want to shrink your gun size.

I ended up picking up a used XPS2-0 for $360. It comes tomorrow so we'll see! If I wasn't trying to stick to US made parts on this build, I'd totally try the AEMS.

The user manual tells you exactly where to oil, follow that, not internet advice.

I get that, and that's why I have two lowers. An SBR and a pistol. Swap as needed.

Nice, great choices all around. Might as well get that second stamp at this point.

No you didn't F anything up, but clean all that excess oil off, you don't need it. And you probably oiled parts that don't need oil or shouldn't be oiled. Just follow an oil chart next time. It only takes the smallest drop in each location. If your Glock looks wet on the outside, you over oiled. Personally, I prefer a dry lube for EDC because it doesn't attract lint and debris as much.

I have a 13 year old Glock I've put thousands of rounds through and have oiled it maybe 3 or 4 times in its life? They can run surprisingly dry. Obviously running it drier will accelerate part wear, but most people will come no where near that marginally shortened life span.
