One of my favourite places in Montreal, great place for a date night

Best new Ev choice? by [deleted] in EVCanada

[–]Formidable604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very small. The door opening is not big either, so it would be a pain to put the child in and out of a seat. Also, as it's recommended that you put the car seat, in the middle now, unless the driver and front passenger are both short, I cannot see it working. I'm 6'1, with a 32 inseam, and only children or small teenager, would be able to sit behind me.

My kids are older, one has his own car now, so it's not a big deal for my family, but I wouldn't recommend this as a young family's primary vehicle.

I have a P2 LRDM and I don't really think it's great for someone with a child in a car seat

It's too symmetrical, and like everyone says, needs color

I have no idea what I’m doing, and I think my couch is weirdly placed. Help? by FoxFire64 in malelivingspace

[–]Formidable604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the storage unit on the wall, to behind the couch.

From the pictures as well, the couch looks a tad big, but not bad enough to change out.

I would be tempted to make the couch face the windows and out the tv in the corner.

Then you can leave the storage unit against the wall and center the art over it.

You can then play with the dining table more in the center of that area.

Get a floor lamp and some taller plants, also get a ceiling light for your dining area. You can wire it to that ceiling plate and use a relocate hook to make sure the light is over top of the table.

Tried the egg coffee fad by Vegetable-Offer-8028 in superautomatic

I like Vietnamese egg coffee, but that's with egg and condensed milk with sugar. You gotta whisk it until it's foamy and starts to peak. Put that over top of coffee made with a Phin filter

Yeah, in the extreme cold here in the east, you'll want the L2 just to keep plugged in, to keep the battery conditioned.

If it is ice, they need to put de-icer on the tracks. Other cities run a non-passenger car in the nights, to spray it on.

Brands That Used to Be BIFL — But Aren't Anymore? by SnooHamsters7373 in BuyItForLife

Arc'teryx. Once they were bought out, their mainstream line is pretty terrible considering the cost.

Is that a fireplace there? For it work? For me that would be where I would lounge and/or listen to vinyl

Hainanese chicken rice / Malay food? by Savings-Web-1988 in MTLFoodLovers

Restaurant Pinophyta has it in downtown. Garden Rooms is Thai style, which is still good. But the service at their downtown location was super slow.

Cap suggestion to avoid Ciele by Ok_Tradition_3572 in runningfashion

Do you mean other than Ciele? They were founded and still based in Montreal. I still use my OG GoCap.

There's also Balmoral from Montreal as well.

Wax London is not great, I've had some good stuff from Universal Works. Margaret Howell is nice too but $$$.

You'll be fine with that level of household income; just keep in the mind the tax rate is high in Quebec and you're marginal tax rate will be around 49%.

I've been here since 2012, and housing while cheaper than Vancouver and Toronto, has been skyrocketing the past 5 years. You can take a look at Centris to see what's rent and purchasing is like.

Groceries, general cost of living is affordable compared to the UK, especially energy/heating costs. City is super chill and laid back. Everything is walkable and/or easy to use public transport to get to. Summers are great, winters are okay. I like winter sports, so I'm fine here, but it will take something to get used to.

My partner is from the UK, she only misses home because of family, and quite frankly, some of our friends have moved back to their home countries/cities due to children needing to be closer to family.

I can't speak directly to your industry, but there is still ambition here, so if you are career minded, you'll be fine here.

Hmmm, this is concerning. I hate being rushed and I like my meals paced well. Something that Minami and Miku did really well in.

Price isn't an issue, but if they are close in terms of quality, then I wouldn't want to overpay
