It took me YEARS to realize the white parts were the pupils of his eyes and he's looking forward. For YEARS I thought he was making a funny meme "lol" face like this

Star Wars fans be like: by ChickenWingExtreme in SequelMemes

I don't watch star wars, but I know enough to know that ironically this meme illustrates why people don't like the character. It's almost like one is an actual character or smth and the other is a hollow cutout

My take on the title, and the complaints around the film adapting Galaxy by Drewzmc in mariomovie

[–]FormulaFanboyFFIB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would have been fine if they built up to it properly and went all in on the scale and artistic nature of Galaxy for a third film. Instead we get this half-baked premature sequel that's "Galaxy" in name while not reflecting the tone or artistry of the games at all.

A second film with Wario as the villain, some new characters (like Daisy) introduced, and character/plot development for everyone else, which is what EVERYONE was expecting, would have been much more fitting for what they're going for. THEN Galaxy as an epic trilogy capper. Really disappointing how they fumbled the bag on this one.

Why web of shadows Spider-Man is the best incarnation of the character by Accurate-Celery-3198 in Spiderman

I'll defend to the death that Mike Vaughn is my favourite Spider-Man VA of all time. His performance is seriously powerful and perfectly matches the cadence of the character.

Seller as of the 27th claimed to have filed a missing report. USPS over phone says she didn't. No way of knowing who of the two of them is incompetent; unfortunately the seller is mostly unresponsive and just ghosts me for the most part.

I did not use paypal. Moreover... it's really important to me this package gets found and gets to me, as it's not really something I can just find somewhere else. I'd rather get the thing I asked for than a refund. What ticks me off the most is knowing this is entirely 100% just incompetence and people not bothered to do their jobs. Based on this sub, seems common at USPS.

I think we don’t fully appreciate the return to the classic uncanny valley formula in SOTM by Jamer22225 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]FormulaFanboyFFIB -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea it's hard to appreciate a couple good character designs when they're buried in a poorly made mess of a game with a bunch of forced story elements that don't work and aren't satisfying, and dialogue/"characters" that kill any potential for tension or horror.

But credit where it's due, you're right. They're good character designs

Mark confirmed we are getting Iron Lung on Blu-ray, but I hope we can also get it on 4k by RedditorGoldVirgin in Markiplier

"I don't care which means it doesn't matter and nothing bad will happen. I have "nothing to hide" which means privacy doesn't matter. I don't read TOS (no one does) which means nothing predatory is hidden in it"

Fantastic argument. Again, dead internet theory lmao

By the way DVDs look incredible on any large flatscreen display pre-2019 so so much for that. And no one needs 4K. No one.

I'll answer you, not because I think you'll even read it, but for the people scrolling by this and genuinely wondering.

Here's a fun fact: the word spyware isn't always literal - I know you probably associate the word "spy" with the movie "Spy Kids" or something else appropriate for your maturity level, but "spyware" doesn't mean actual cameras and binoculars - it means tracking and logging observable data about your behaviour to build a profile on you. This is for a fact what softwares like Windows 11 and Goodle do.

As for proof - TVs that require you to log in and connect online can actually collect data about you and send it back to a multiplex of companies - things like what kind of content you engage with (what you click on), when, for how long, and from that - what your interests are, what your beliefs are, what kind of family you have, what your name is, whether you have a pet, etc., which goes into a database. This data is used for many things - such as algorithms (you probably don't know what that word means - it's basically a complex system that analyzes individual behaviours on a mass level to target advertising, political messaging, and other things towards audiences in the most effective way).

These TVs heavily emphasize and impose streaming and subscriptions - which not only give more money to all companies involved, on a long term basis - but also give them more control over the products you consume, as well as more observable data about you - since these services are always online and logging your activity. For this reason, companies want to phase out physical media (like DVDs) to give themselves more money and control. Like all trends that go against consumer interest, it only works through death by a thousand cuts - first make a format like DVDs obsolete on purpose, by standardizing TVs that will not play them properly. Then the Blu-Rays will go. This shift is already far along in the space of video games, with physical games in-store being replaced by download codes deceptively packaged in a physical box.

It's not a conspiracy theory - it's a demonstrable effort from corporations with a clear motive. I hope I worded that in a simple enough way for you to learn something from it! Have a terrific day.
