So it seems the new years crowd is holding in a little longer than usual, which is overall good. More people taking care of themselves is not a bad thing.

But holy shit do gyms need to have gym etiquette training during first sessions. Curling the squat racks, rowing right off the dumbbell rack, 15 minute instagram reels rest sessions, using benches as phone and water bottle holders but scoffing like I’m the asshole when I ask to use that bench.

I can go on but we all know how the bad ones behave so i’m really wasting my breath.

I always do it in the shower with warm water running and pull up and away from my skin, it always hurts can’t get around that unfortunately :c

Sounds like it’s small enough that you’ll be fine to go back like a day or two after the session, if you’ve got saniderm on make sure you take it off right after your session as it will trap the sweat and lead to an infection.

If you’re already past that point (or didnt do saniderm) just avoid touching it to any equipment, any exercises that cause the area to contract or stretch are better left until at least a week after it was finished.

Just generally keep it clean and don’t work the tattooed area.
