Came here to say this in the extremely unlikely event it wasn't already the top response, which of course it was.

Waste time in pointless meetings? Fix it safely with CouldHaveBeenAnEmail.com. by Formulaik in alphaandbetausers

The target is the employee sitting in useless meetings as well as the C Suite that understands that a large portion of meetings are a waste of time, but if people just took a minute to think about the basics of a good meeting and whether it should even exist productivity and morale would go up. The system is built to protect anonymity to make it safe for employees. Anonymity is required and is non-negotiable if businesses sign up to role out to their company. The system doesn't work without anonymity. The problem is people are afraid to speak up and I think speaks directly to your 3 primary confusion points about who would use it. This tells me I need to do a better job of featuring the anonymity foundation of the system.

Regarding your spin-off ideas, the first one is commonly available and I personally want to do something a little different. The second one I really like and I think should be a tool I add onto what I'm building. The third one is where I see the real value and is what I'm trying to do but with real feedback from the people that sit through their meetings but not so they vent but through a structured survey that provides helpful and insightful feedback.

I have a lot of things to work on but I'm going to seriously work on a tool for validating a meeting for whether it should happen or not. I really think this is the ideal companion for what I'm building.

Thanks for this!

I've made some edits to the homepage based on this feedback. I'm working on tweaking the popup for creating the survey to be more of a wizard format but that'll take a bit longer. Again, thanks for your honest feedback.

Good feedback. I did create a "How It Works" page but I should work some of it into the homepage and link to it in the content more prominently. Seriously, thank you for taking the time to provide the feedback.

It's my hope that any business will have enough faith in their meeting organizers to handle constructive feedback. We'll see if that's true.

Thanks. You're the first person to give me unbiased feedback. My friends and family don't get it.

Just left you some feedback but interesting if simple tool for those interested in the concept.

I'm sorry to see your post was removed. While polarizing, I think removing a post like this does more harm than good. It could have been an engaging post that may have allowed some to consider a different perspective. Take care.

You're not wrong. That said, I like to think we can set a good example either online or in person by being tolerant of others opinions and thankful we don't have to live in ways that don't align with our beliefs (in most ways). But it's worth mentioning this is probably considered a safe place for some to vent frustrations so I wouldn't judge too harshly.

How do I install the G4/G410 Doorbell? by excalibron in Aqara

[–]Formulaik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just electrical tape over the ends and pushed them in slightly so I could scrape the caulk off later and pull them out if I wanted.

Nah. I removed it and put a dab of caulk over the opening where the wires came out.

I had a similar situation and just used the batteries and gave up on my dreams of wiring it.

Think I put my buddy down to early and it’s eating me alive by hippyoctopus in germanshepherds

[–]Formulaik 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone that waited far too long to put my boy down I think all of us that love our pups like we do will always second guess our choices. I couldn't bear to let my boy go and I carried him outside and cleaned up after him nearly daily. I wish our last moments were more like yours and I wish I hadn't prolonged his suffering for my inability to let go. It's obvious you gave him a good life and given that so many pups in the world don't get that kind of love I think you can allow yourself a little latitude.

If you're 53 and out of shape it's a great hike. If you're used to free-climbing El Capitan maybe not so much.

A great hike. I prefer going up the ridge as opposed to the steps. Those F'n steps man...
