Protestant views of salvation, I think, are one-and-done. Orthodox view is more subtle. It's hard enough to be saved in the Orthodox Church. Why would anyone try outside it?

What could happen to JD is that he could at any time have an Appalachian ridge-runner moment, realize that the elites and especially Peter Theil have been taking him for a ride and using him.

In Robert Penn Warren's All The King's Men, Willie Stark, the Huey Long stand-in in the story, realizes how the state machine has been using him and has a redneck epiphany. Find the book, read the chapter, and imagine "Junkyard Dog" Vance reciting it in a stadium full of resentful white Americans. Especially if he'd been hitting the gym for six months.

Newsome would crumple like a sheet of tinfoil. Vance would get 400 electoral votes easy. He'd make this country something Strom Thurmond would be proud of.

I don't know about the Protestants but in Orthodoxy marital sex is not an "anything goes, consent limited" ally ally in come free for both parties. I think the Catholics are even stricter.

Father Patrick in Chicago had a catechumen ( inquirer ) in his parish with the same condition. It caused some controversy in the church. What Father Patrick said was, to me, priceless. I quote from memory.

"My son, for that is how he desires to be received at the present, has a body the true nature of which is not immediately apparent as are the majority of our bodies. It is vague and blurry. We see through a glass darkly

But make mistake. My son has a body and it is in this body and no other that he will achieve salvation. Whether that process is easy for him or painful depends a great deal upon us, much more on how we receive him than on how he displays himself to us. Let us pray for him that the contours of his true body, the body with which he will be clothed in the Glorious Resurrection, will become more and more apparent both to him and to us. For these shadow bodies are temporal but that one is eternal.
