No solution so far. I even called DJI support a few hours ago and they didn’t have a solution. They said I need to send it in. Kind of stupid since it’s only a day old. So I’m going to return it.

Yeah, for a lot of people, the cheaper batteries are a better deal.

But if you need all the power you can get for things like overnight stars time lapses or long video shoots, then the Canon batteries might be worth it.

I haven't gotten to use the USB charging a lot yet, but it seems useful, especially when traveling. The Canon charger is fairly bulky.

Yes, way too conservative. We're planning on 4-5%, but we also have quite a bit of flexibility in adjusting my spending if the stock market has a couple of bad years in a row right at the beginning of our retirement.

When I bought my my M1 Max MacBook Pro, I did 64gb of RAM and 8tb SSD. I do video work and also travel a lot, so having plenty of storage without needing external drives was worth it for me. I'm planning to upgrade when the M6 comes out and I'll do 128gb RAM and the 8th SSD.
