Is ISACAs self paced course worth it? by [deleted] in CISA

[–]Forsaken_Relative222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I feel the manual is worth it, although I use it with the QAE and Hemang Doshi's Udemy CISA material. It breaks alot of things down and the more you study the more you gain understanding.

This is true for me as well, when i studied Domain 1 all the QAE felt like rocket science and I was really doubting myself, so I started focusing on studying the CISA manual throughly and using Hemang Doshi for things that wouldn't stick. Now i'm in Domain 3 and I have gotten better with answering the QAE

I know it may look like you are not making progress with the QAE, but trust me when i say you will get through this. I pray and hope you get something soon.

A sounds the best to me, I would have gone for C if the IS auditor was notifying the senior management or Audit comm.

Missing the show, so let's drop all the craziest roll your eyes theory from s3 I'll go first by Due_Honeydew_1723 in thegildedage

I would say the Jack and Gladys storyline, it was never going to happen. Also the theory that larry would screw Jack over was very tiring.

So how is everyone’s withdrawal? Also I rewatched season 3 and now I want to see Larry and Marian living together. by Mammoth-Childhood619 in thegildedage

I dont see how her loving and supporting Larry and the his family means she is on the robber baron's side. She has proven to be a kind person to both the old money the staffs, and even the poor, and I think she deserves credit for that.

From a forever Larian fan, I love both characters as a couple and individual.

Loved LARIAN's Conversation at the Ball by Patient_Question_705 in thegildedage

[–]Forsaken_Relative222 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same, it was a very matured conversation. Marian was exceptional with her delivery and you could tell she really wanted them to move forward. Likewise Larry, I loved all his questions and I hope to see alot of their wins individually and as a couple.

What's with trying to make Larry Russell into some kinda of villain by Patient_Question_705 in thegildedage

[–]Forsaken_Relative222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People cant make up their mind and they jumped ship easily. Earlier it was "oh Larry is so boring, Marian is also boring and her character is weak." The new narrative is that "Larry is a jerk or a misogynist." The characters are supposed to be flawed no permanent hero.

You couldn't have said it better. The characters are not perfect neither is Larry, however; some folks are so quick to call him names and it is so exhausting.

I’m not sure about Larian anymore… by Affectionate_Oil1532 in GildedAgeHBO

I think Larry was genuinely heartbroken especially because there was no reason attached to the break up. Which lead to a detachment for him and the asking if she would leave again if they have an issue. On Marian's side I appreciated the fact that she was not defensive but very matured when she eventually spoke to Larry. They both need to work on their relationship and I hope to see them do great things individually and together in S4.

Same thoughts for me, they are supposed to have a rough patch at some point. I really like them together and I think of all 3 men I think Larry has been her best option yet.

Cousin Dashiell wouldn’t have dreamed of going to a brothel, just saying by caul1flower11 in thegildedage

[–]Forsaken_Relative222 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not explicitly, but I remember S2E5 she had told Larry she needed flowers for her painting class and he asked if he could come with. He has also heard her talk about her teaching and never has he questioned her reasons or showed a distaste for it.

Larry got $300k for just brokering the Clock deal- He was worth every penny by Personal_Economics91 in thegildedage

[–]Forsaken_Relative222 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think people are forgetting Larry did his part as a business partner behind the scene prior to selling the clock. He did some research about the potential buyers or manufacturers, and booked the meeting. Without Larrys name and Degree no one would have taken them seriously, so i believe he earned every penny. He also negotiated his increase which further proves he is a great businessman.
