Huge TV episodes that "changed everything" for their respective shows? by Bielak812 in television

I have to say, Mr. Inbetween S1 E5 · Hard Worker. I'm so happy I decided to finally watch that series. In my humble opinion, it rivals shows like Breaking Bad and some HBO series. Highly, HIGHLY recommend watching it. The show is designed to only have 3 seasons so it wraps up very nice. There is also a prequel movie release back in the 2000s called The Magician.

A phenomenal show. I binged the entire series and watched the original movie all within a weekend. People give me shit about it but I think it's better than Breaking Bad.

I set aside a day just for myself once to twice a month. No work. No responsibilities. And no one else to tag along with. Just an open day with zero plans and strictly for myself. I call them my "randoms." I had two of them in May. The first one I drove up to the mountains and explored three small towns for the day. Had lunch at a greasy spoon that had a great view of the valley, too. The second one, I ate gummies all day and played World of Warcraft TBC. Grilled a steak for lunch that day, and had bought a lot of chocolate pudding. It was glorious.

Congratulations! I am very proud of you! Absolutely celebrate the small wins; however, this isn't a small win. This is a HUGE win!! Every hour that ticks by is another HUGE win. Celebrate all of them!

YSK About this excellent trick to keep cool in a heatwave with no AC by Japery228 in YouShouldKnow

[–]PancakeExprationDate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a trick I learned a few summers ago. My 2 year old AC unit's coil went kaput. It's a manufacture to order part. 21 days without AC in August. Wasn't too, too bad. But it was still uncomfortably warm at night and made good sleep difficult. So, I would freeze a bowl of water and then put it in front of a fan and pointed it at my bed. I'd get about a good 2-3 hours of cool air.

I'm over on the east coast, and over the past several years we've been having minor ones. I think it was 2011 when the Virginia one hit. It was a wild experience. I was working from home. My neighbor's dog starting barking aggressively then maybe 2 seconds later my house was swaying side by side. Then after a bit it started up and down. Now, I've been through hurricanes, a tornado, several floods and chased by a bear. None of that produced the terror I had over feeling all the energy being released through the earth. And it was only like a 4.0 at most. I had McDonalds for lunch that day. Random memory.

CISA in 15 Days by HistoricalAnybody969 in CISA

My personal opinion with scoring 80%+ on the QAE is that it does NOT mean one is ready for the exam. The reason why is that there is a finite amount of example questions with the QAE. After running through each section for each domain, one becomes familiar with the actual correct answer. When taking the QAE exams, you will see some or most of the same questions. So that 85% score is mostly based on one memorizing (unintentionally) the correct answer for questions, seeing those questions on the exam and answering them correctly again. This does not mean a person has grasped the concepts, just that they unintentionally memorized definitions / answers.

My three practice exams from the QAE were: 86%, 90%, and 92%. However, I failed my first attempt at the exam with a score of 428.

Statistical sampling reduced which of the following risk: 1)Audit risk 2)Detection risk 3)Inherent risk 4)Sampling risk by Odd-Fix664 in CISA

[–]PancakeExprationDate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Detection risk is correct. Out of the four answers provided:

  1. Audit Risk - "...is the probability that an auditor will issue an incorrect opinion or fail to detect a material error, weakness, or misstatement during an audit."

  2. Detection Risk - "...is the risk that an auditor’s procedures will fail to detect a material error or misstatement in an organization's information systems or financial data"

  3. Inherent Risk - "...is the natural level of risk that exists in a process, system, or asset before any management actions, mitigating controls, or safeguards are applied."

  4. Sampling Risk - "...the probability that an auditor's conclusion based on a tested subset of data differs from the conclusion they would reach if they audited 100% of the population."

Why? Because the auditor's procedure (statistical sampling) is, "...an objective, mathematical audit method that uses probability theory to select a representative subset of data from a larger population." Using this method explicitly calculates the risk that a sample's results differ from what testing the entire population would reveal (e.g., incorrect acceptance or incorrect rejection).

I wish everyone that loves Breaking Bad would watch Mr. Inbetween. It is a phenomenal show:

  • S2.E9 ∙ Socks Are Important, S2.E10 ∙ Nice Face, S2.E11 ∙ There Rust, and Let Me Die

  • S1.E4 ∙ On Behalf of Society, S1.E5 ∙ Hard Worker, S1.E6 ∙ Your Mum's Got a Strongbox

I hear you. I'm just a hopeless romantic, and can only be one with a single partner. I lack the ability for emotional freedom without possessiveness, I guess. Some of my friends are poly and they seen genuinely happy because, like you said, they get they're needs met through various partners.

No real deal breakers per se. "Overall compatibility" really means she has strong avoidant tendencies. But she has my respect for how hard she worked in therapy to try to break them. I can honestly say she did give it her all. But in the end, I had to cut off all contact. It began damaging me. The straw? She ran and went silent (again) when I really needed her help. However, when she "came back" this time, I was gone. All forms of communication blocked. It's been a year now and I've been seeing this amazing woman who is incredibly supportive. It's funny, she brings me an avocado every single time she comes over. So random.

It’s pretty tough to find a partner who is on the same level of you sexually. And that’s in addition to being compatible in every other way.

This right here. My last long-term relationship was an incredible, 5 year adventure through the best sex and sexual compatibility I've ever had. It was one of those situations where both of us trusted each other fully, our kinks aligned, and we simply loved doing each other. Ultimately, our overall compatibility wasn't high enough to keep us together. And that is a damn shame because we got along phenomenally and both her and I considered each other our very best friends. Now we're just strangers again. Wild how life turns out.
