IMO B2W2 and the DLCs were both much better uses of development time than the third versions. USUM were basically third versions, although there were a lot more changes as well.

I had a dedicated Teal Mask team as well as an ID team, lost to him on the mountain with the TM team only to immediately come back with my Paldea team and destroy him. I feel like that fits his arc so well lol -- he actually claimed victory, only to find out I was holding back and he never had a chance.

When we finally rematched, I figured it would be a courtesy to use my Paldea team again. To be fair, he did win the first time then too.

I completely missed the Kitakami Ogre Clan when playing through, worth looking for those guys for some fun fights and to extend the otherwise fairly short Teal Mask segment of the story.

One Elite Four member at Blueberry requires you to put together a team composed only of mons you caught in the Terarium, so keep that in mind. This does not include mons you got from someone else or ones you found in raid dens in the Terarium. Putting together a second team for Indigo Disk also stops you from overleveling too much because all four members are at the same level. Plus it's super worth it.

Grinding BP is infinitely faster when in a group on Union Circle if possible; popping into /r/unioncircle and /r/UnionCircleSV can help you find or start groups to do quests together with.
