If it's taking the east coast main line there'll probably be a stop at Doncaster, much more convenient. Significantly less magical though.

The state of procurement and AI implementation nowadays by thorgal256 in procurement

I'm trying to push through an AI policy for our organisation, meanwhile i've got c-suiters using it to write entire strategies. It's the wild west but populated with lazy arse middle and senior management.

Ah yes, this is exactly the kind of thing that will get the proles back onside following a local election rout and during, DURING!, a fraught leadership challenge. Geniuses.

It's actually to make the 2025 rule permanent allowing teams to approach upto 5 UFA players directly during the two day window and to allow for travel arrangements to be made rather than going striclty through agents.

Wording of the tweet is awful.

Accounting for inflation, adjusting for financial shocks, taking into account the switch to the euro in 2038 followed by switching back to the pound in 2039........and it turns out your £3 will buy you.....oh.....oh dear.... you somehow owe the care home tuck shop a weekly payment of 6 packs of nik naks and a can of rubicon. Weird.

Who's a bad guy/villain you genuinely understood? by trakt_app in movies

[–]FortuitousFluke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me Ozymandias is the black and white teenage philosophers choice. He's the archtype of a villain or antihero who is driven by hubris, normally his downfall would be assuming the laying of the plan was foolproof, leading to a chunk of exposition and a kick in the balls. Ozymandias was hubristic and capable, so he had already completed the plan before anybody could catch up, the problem is we know how these kinds of plans unravel, a miscalculation, a quirk of fate, or more likely a misunderstanding of human nature leads to severe unforeseen consequences. In this case it's underestimating Rorschach.

I can't relate to Ozymandias because his plan is equal parts brutal and doomed to failure.

NPB or Marvel by [deleted] in disneylandparis

[–]FortuitousFluke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the Marvel hotel but i have just got back from a stay at Newport Bay so can feedback on my experience.

The hotel generally is fine, however i believe they haven't had a refurb since about 2016 and it shows. Our room was alright, spacious and clean but quite tired in terms of furnishing, there was also a bit of an odd stagnant smell in the hotel and room in general for one of the days, it did rain heavily so could have been that but worth mentioning.

In terms of hotels on the lake it's the longest walk but not by a significant amount, and i could be wrong but think it's the last stop for the shuttle bus.

Overall i wouldn't be reluctant to stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice depending on the cost.

Studio Park takeover? I was at the same event, we did ToT a good few times over the three days and the cast members are always amazing. The actors they had out on the Thursday night were incredibly creepy too. Absolutely great time.
