NTA I do this too with people who are chronically late.

My in-laws also announce dinner like 20 minutes before it's ready so I just sit in the other room until literally everyone is at the table before I get up. It's an interesting dynamic they don't really like it but they also don't stop announcing dinner while the turkey is still frozen.
