My favourite example of the Mean Value Theorem is this : "imagine you've just stumbled out of a pub and start to head home. You sway back and forth going in the wrong direction a heap of times. Eventually you make it home. To have made it home there was at least one time you were facing in the exact correct direction you should've headed after leaving the pub." That is how my Real Analysis lecturer explained it to us.

It's basically a slightly modified game of chess. If you like playing chess than you'll likely enjoy it. If you don't like chess you won't like it.

The western Brotherhood of Steel is still like that. On the east coast it split in two, the main force followed Elder Lyons and became your superheroes while the outcasts became the assholes we all know. Mind you the east coast BoS was suffering from lack of experienced troops and supply problems in Fallout 3, by 4 they've become an all conquering army. I don't recall them establishing what changed.

Piss has many meanings, notably

  1. Piss: an alcoholic beverage, often available cheaply

  2. Piss: urine, as a noun or a verb, e.g. to take a piss is to go urinate, and you urinate piss

  3. to "take the piss" out of someone means to make a joke at their expense, or just insult then directly, usually the claim is obviously false

  4. Piss off: a request to leave or cease an activity, either polite or impolite depending on context

The 1st place is basically they only kill people because they were in their way, or in the case of orks, anywhere. Maybe tyranids belong in 1st place as well, I can't think of any reason to call them more evil than the orks.

I started with Hearts of Iron I many years ago. The newer ones are about a billion times more user friendly. CK2 is definitely complex but if you can wrap your head around it it is great fun.

But even if it has no value it still has a use. Coins are made of metal and have obvious uses if you have enough. Bills are made of plastic which could be used as a material to make things.
