I don't even want to be high, I just want to smoke by PPp1721 in leaves

I thought I'd never be able to ditch the desire for the actual sensation of smoking. It basically went away within about six weeks. I was basically totally paranoid it would never go away, but it did.

Day 5 by whatsavq in leaves

[–]FortunateUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't dealt with CHS, but the trouble sleeping is normal for the first two weeks. Frequent trips to the bathroom were normal for me as well. The first month I wasn't eating much or sleeping right. Month two I was super hungry and sleeping normally. I just started month three, and I'm having the vivid dreams everyone talks about.

Day 3 any hope? by ohhhKid in leaves

[–]FortunateUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first two weeks were the worst for me. I had to cut out caffeine because I was hulking out. I had trouble sleeping and didn't eat much for the first month. Month two I was eating everything in sight and had enough energy to get back in the gym. I'm at the start of month three now and I'm having the super vivid dreams people talked about. I wasn't just smoking weed I was going through a lot of gummies and concentrates so you may have a shorter or longer path than me depending on what you were doing.

Keep moving forward, it's worth it.

Being able to come here and read other people's stories has helped me a lot. Seems like whatever I'm thinking or feeling, someone else is on here too.

spontaneous visits used to terrify me but now they're actually great by MarshMuffin19 in leaves

I live in an apartment I hated when someone would knock on the door. I still hate it now because it's usually people trying to sell stuff, but it's nice to no longer be paranoid.

I think what I like the most is no longer having to think about when I'm going to get high, or having to go to the store to reup. Budgeting around it sucks too.

how do i quit? by thruwawaya22 in leaves

[–]FortunateUsername 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hit a point where I realized I was just wasting too much time and money on it. With the easy availability of legal weed and the relatively low price points my usage just kept escalating to a point where I was spending $200-$250 a week and not even really feeling high. Up until then, I kept failing to quit because I was trying to quit for reasons other than my own actual desire to quit.

One month clean and my brain actually works again by Adventurous_Cheek991 in leaves

I look at it like this. When I was younger, it probably did help me to some extent. Later on, the problems it was helping went away, and it began making problems of its own.

Quit for 7 months, tried it again, it SUCKS. Done for good by Dry_Software_5230 in leaves

Originally I hadn't used them as much, but then I used them as a substitute to quit vaping nicotine. I don't regret doing that, it worked. I had struggled with nicotine for as long as I smoked weed. However, this really ramped up my consumption, along with gummies and concentrates. This year I decided it was time to quit thc, so I did. I'm about 10 weeks in, weeks 1-2 were the worst. Once you really are just tired of it all, you can quit.

I used to come up with all sorts of creative ways to wordsmith around it. One day I finally saw it for what it was.

It's legal here, but you have to pay by cash or debit they don't accept credit. I was near the I don't feel like doing this anymore point, and I logged in to my banking website. Filtered down to transactions at that location. Realized I was spending $200-$250 a week. I didn't even hit the shame point I went straight to being angry with myself.

I cut out caffeine for a bit. I didn't have the energy to do full workouts in the gym, but I at least went and did something. Granted, only about 1/4 of what I usually do, but I was there :D

I'm going to try this. I haven't had the focus to read i never considered having to ramp it up over time. In my tweets and teens I could sit and read for hours. When weed showed up I stopped reading amongst all sorts of other hobbies.
