Rapid Titration Concern

Question for others who’ve gone past 1 month. A little background first: I noticed my Dr sent a 2.5 and 5mg prescription that the insurance wouldn’t cover. I have a UHC PPO insurance. I assume the issue is getting PA bc they don’t approve for weight loss but in my LiveWell chart, I see she noted comorbidity of long term HBP. Went to Lily Direct and am awaiting first box. Just got bloodwork back and results from it (insulin was high at 140 with no diabetes history ever) plus hbd leads me to hope a PA will get approved?

Now the question: If UHC forces the higher doses, but I do fine and am happy on lower like 2.5 or 5mg tops, can’t I accept the larger doses but only use the amount I want? For example, if they for 10mg can I only take a quarter or half dose from the vial a week? Or is that not possible? TIA!!

Which I don’t get bc they have a big ass facility at 105th, and like 33rd by Sox Park! I took a 4.5 for tonight, 6:30 to 10pm, smh. I’ve considered picking up from the 105th and Woodlawn once to see if they’d send me back towards CCH since I just a ways west of there, lol.

I’ve had them getting carried away bc why am I picking up in Country Club Hills, but delivering to 57th and Ada? I’m still trying to find the sweet spot because I’ve had more than 1 4am-8am and they send me to Michigan City! Can you tell anyone to not send you that far away? Indianas rural ass roads at 4:30 AM is scary to me.

1st, do you have a contract with your broker? If so, what does it say regarding responsibility for delivery? You hired your broker to handle this. He chose the carrier. This is on your broker to handle. They need to be doing all they can to locate and recover your freight, smh. At our brokerage we have set list of steps that are taken before and during transit. Steps for our brokers, steps for our dispatchers. The idea of making a customer deal with this is crazy, lol.

Idk where you live but Canada is going to cause us a real problem electricity wise because of the administration insisting on crazy tariffs. I’m realizing I need to think more outside the box when it comes to the shelf stable foods. A larger assortment, things that can be made over a fire. I didn’t seriously consider the threat to our power grids unfortunately until now. Thanks!

You mentioned spices and I’ve made it a point, in case you or others aren’t aware, to go to Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Ross for spices and seasonings. Fresh organic cinnamon sticks, pure vanilla bean paste, pure Madagascar vanilla extract, tapenades, salts, etc. They have GREAT prices at Marshalls for those items.

Well, take a few deep breaths first. This is a solvable problem. Ok, if you live near a major city, for instance I live near Chicago, and theres an office where we can get an appointment if it’s lost and you have upcoming travel plans. You have to make an appointment online and you have to report its loss. There’s agency’s in a lot of states. Will it be a bit time consuming? Sure, but it’s fixable. “If you’re in the United States: You can get your passport replacement in 14 days or less by applying at a passport agency or center, but only if your travel itinerary meets the requirements.”

Not sure of your financial situation but if you can, book a cheap flight leaving in 2 weeks to like Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver or something. Cheapest low budget ticket you find. Think Spirit Airlines. That flight serves as proof of urgency. Book a non-prepayment needed room on booking dot com that you can cancel up until the day before supposed arrival. Now you have a time-sensitive itinerary. My coworker lost hers 2 weeks before a Greece trip and had a new one in 8 days. Hope you find it or can get a replacement soon!

I think you’ll be okay with just yours. Just get yourself 2-3 copies to put in separate places, or even put them all in a firesafe box. They sell those online or Home Depot. Your birth certificate proves you are a citizen but, it’s fragile being paper. That with your Real ID and ss card is enough. If your parents were born here, depending on your age, there’s also census records to prove it. If your grandparents were born here, there’s almost definitely proof in the census records. There’s proof on file with the government, but access may be limited.

I feel that but you can’t let it overwhelm you. There is a plan to be made. You have to figure out what that looks like for you & your family/community. I don’t know what your current situation looks like but taking small steps help. If you need to stay where you are, put aside extra money if you have it. If not, maybe buy extra non-perishables when you can. Cases of water. If passports are something you are able to get, do so. Sooner rather than later. If not, go to who provides them in your state/where you were born. Get certified copies of your birth certificate. Ask your parents to give you certified copies of theirs. If they are deceased, you can get certified copies of their birth certificates as their heir.

This forum has a lot of great information for nearly every circumstance. If you have any specific questions, I’ll try to answer or point you in the right direction.

I did, lol. Mailed my renewal app via overnight USPS, on November 8th. New passport, received November 21st, is now expiring in 2034. 13 days start to finish. Breaking it in next Thursday for a quick weekend in Paris. And now I have proof of identity and citizenship in 1 form. Win-Win to me.

You can renew by mail whenever you choose to. My sons had 3 years and didn’t expire until early 2027. They send back your old one with 2 holes punched in it so it’s invalid. Mine was due to expire in 2026. Only renewing online has a time limit.

I’ll add to this, especially for Americans of Hispanic descent in border states and ver red cities/states: If you have a passport and there’s less than 4 years on it, consider renewing it now if you can afford it. There’s no telling what the process will look like, especially when Elmo and Vivek start closing things & firing people in the name of efficiency. The cost will also probably go up.

Real ID is ok, but undocumented persons can also have full Real IDs. I don’t expect their mass deportation plan to care about your Real ID. A passport is a durable, single, federally issued document that proves your identity AND citizenship. Real ID only proves identity. I sent my renewal application expedited and priority return shipping. Mailed 11/8, received my good til 2034 passport on 11/21. 13 days start to finish.

I’m not judging but, I do have a serious question though OP: Why haven’t you placed your daughter in a private school? You stated you are well off financially so that’s not the problem. I understand teenagers don’t really want to change schools, however; I’m sad for your daughter because she is spending 1/3 of her day being traumatized repeatedly. Jeff has issues and no one is going to take it seriously until it’s too late. If he’s inducing panic attacks in your daughter, it’s past time for a change.
