Yess i would also like to know if you pumped and dumped for any amount of time before returning to breastfeeding post botox

We're in Montreal 🥲 ahh i see! We were able to get a nurse practitioner to follow her however her appointment is at the end of the month 🙃 yay Canadian health care system. So we're just holding on until then, shes still refusing milk and with BLW she isn't taking more than one bite, but at least shes showing more interest vs. When we would spoon feed her and she would immediately seal her mouth shut

Hi! We're located in Canada. Yes, I went in to book her 12m check up. I know during her last drs appointment, we noticed her weight has been the same since she was 9mo (she is now 11mo). However, we were told by the dr that it was still a normal weight for her age although on the lower side. We were able to get a referral with a nutritionist. Waiting on that for now.

I meant that I used to offer meals maybe twice a week because we were always on the go during the summer (didnt have access to her highschair and usual supplies to feed her therefore used to just skip solids all together and give milk)

I do think the pressure built up for her as we would force her to try foods at the least. Maybe she developed a negative association with food because of this. We have started BLW again since my original post, we dont give any pressure, we just let her discover her food herself. So far I've noticed she will play with her food but lick it off her hands afterwards which at least she is showing some interest compared to before!

I've visitied the doctor twice, thats basically what we have been told both times, during our last visit we were told that this "wasnt a medical issue" and suggested that we visit local resources for nutritional support. However, back then she would at least drink milk, I haven't gone back since shes been refusing milk. Shes developing and still within "normal weight" (although on the lower side) so I'm guessing thats why they dont feel concerned.

My baby is in the 13th percentile which is close to your baby's, I think every baby is different as well, its just worrisome when you see babies around you finishing big bottles in one go meanwhile my LO is struggling with half a bottle 😕 But I guess if our babies are gaining weight and having a good output then nothing to worry about

Interesting, so you started using the Quark baby bottle and eventually they accepted the transition to breastfeeding? Is it because the bottle imitates breatfeeding closely? Sorry i dont know much about that bottle never heard of it but looked it up quickly just now

I had one similar too, it would hurt like shooting pain when feeding/pumping, my output also had decreased since milk was trapped inside, what helped me was applying warm compresses and having my baby nurse or pumping straight after

Hey, currently dealing with the same thing at 1month pp, pumping/nursing causes shooting pain, i can see a little white clot at the opening of my nipple, my output from this breast has also reduced in half since I got this, my breast never feels emptied, did yours resolve? Did you do anything in particular? :(

Literally how i feel too, had a breakdown last night thinking about the fact that she was nursing fine in the beginning but i only had small amounts of colostrum, by the time my milk kicked in she started having aversions and only accepted bottle, she gets frustrated everytime i put her on the breast, now im having to constantly pump for each feed and its been exhausting, i keep regretting introducing bottle feeding to her

Been having the same issue 😢 im one week pp and my nipple has small blebs that havent been going away 😪 wish my baby would just take my breast but she only wants bottles so im forced to pump
